Batman: TAS is one of the best animated shows, period. Scene direction, music, script... amazing. The art style was so good.
What? GAF is worse now. Full of creepy threads about Japanese video game characters at every turn and posters willing to blow anyone purporting to be a "insider".
It's also not very fun as you gotta be careful with every little post. Even in my early days you had for more leeway in your jokes. Now it's just like a 12 year old trying to act mature. No fun and aiming for what it thinks is highbrow discussion which then turns into "may waifus are so cute". It also moves far too quickly, how do you even discuss anything?
I'd said before: a lot of Japanese-developed games threads boil down to that garbage and it's not even worth discussing the games in said threads anymore since the vocal minority tends to post more often than you do. Some community threads are chill, while others are largely abandoned since no one remembers they're there. But you also have to be cautious in those threads that you don't shoot the shit too long otherwise it might be problematic.
It's not about having fun anymore because people take you seriously even if you're joking around. Like Oscar said, it happens to every forum that gets bigger. No one really knows each other or their posting habits/posting shticks that they more than likely got away with before, so it ends up turning into a shout-fest with threads moving quickly. Nothing gets discussed as in-depth as you'd like. Oh well.
