Sure it doesn't look like Metro: Last Light running on a 780 but it's incredible for a $399 box.

I know people tend to roll their eyes at HD ports but I'd love some uprezzed PS3 games at 1080p/60 on PS4.

Oh and mouse/keyboard support, make it happen Sony.

That would be nice, especially for games that were ruined by crappy framerates, like Heavenly Sword

But the PS4's power leap is probably not big enough to overcome the PS3's architectural differences for 1080P/60 ports

Infamous Second Son looks REALLY fucking cool. I dunno, I could never get into Infamous. But that just looks more appealing and I can't articulate on why. I mean technically it's the same thing right? But I like the fire powers, and especially enjoy how fire powers can be handled like a tps and the sheer destruction you can pull off. The main character appears to be more agile as well. Just all around badass.

After finally watching all three conferences for the first time back to back, I don't exactly know how I feel except for total indifference to what Nintendo is doing.  Holy fuck Nintendo.  Absolutely zero appeal.

MS showed more games that I was interested in but then again most of them will be available on the PC and/or PS4.  The DRM nonsense is probably going to stop me from buying one, or at least right away.  I generally don't loan out games or buy a lot of used but the product stinks of anti-consumerism and I'll probably avoid buying one until they make some changes.  The price isn't a big deal for me but I might as well wait until they drop it by a couple hundred bucks before I consider it.  MS can fuck off until they figure it out.

The PS4 is obviously the better deal even though the press conference was lacking until the very end when they addressed the DRM issue and disclosed the price.  Total ass kicking moment by Sony.  It reminded me a lot of the E3 from 1995 when everyone expected the Playstation to be similarly priced to the just announced $399 Saturn and Sony came out and projected the $299 price on the huge projection screen.  It was a complete curb stomp then and it was just as effective now.  I'll definitely get a PS4 but man I wish I was more excited about the games..... Destiny seemed surprisingly cool though.  Wasn't expecting that to be liking that.

The characters in Infamous were aggressively unappealing.  Fuck Cole, seriously.  And Zeke....kill it with fire.  What an awful collection of twats.

The games were a ton of fun to play though and I'm sure this will be too.  Plus Second Son is set in Seattle so I'm kind of required to play it by state law.

I liked the first one, but got bored of the second one because the characters were still annoying and there wasn't much new.

This looked like the best PS4 game I saw today, mostly 60fps with a lot of destruction and nice effects. The 1 on 1 combat still looked dopey but getting around the environment and using the powers to take them down was really cool.

I'm always surprised people liked the 1st Infamous. I thought it was pretty awful. It looked horrendous and didn't run that well. The story and character were completely uninteresting. It had those boring and repetitive tunnel puzzle things. Had enemies seemingly pop out of nowhere and just being annoying spam tards.

The 2nd one though....pretty amazing. I'm surprised people never talk more about the graphics for the 2nd one. It's a pretty great looking game. While I was annoyed they didn't stick with the original redesign, I do feel like Cole was a bit more tolerable. Game had none of the annoyances of the first 1, plus melee. It was a pretty great game honestly.

Hopefully the new one is good.

Sony first parties are dropping the passes, EA came on record after both conferences reiterating their online pass program is not making a comeback (brace yourselves for the replacement), Acti never used such a program and stated they have no interest to start doing so, etc etc. It's time to stop being so mad maxy, your employers fucked up, deal with it.
