I'm seriously afraid that PS4's are going to having heating/death issues.  The system has A LOT of tech in it and internal power brick and yet it's also freaking tiny.  Uhhhhh, I know smaller chips run cooler and all that but launch systems have not had a good track record since the even before the PS1.

it's just neat that we're starting out with something the size of the 'slim' ps3.  PS4 is actually a bit thinner than the slim PS3, but with a larger footprint.

The Xbone design looks dummer the more I look at it. Putting it next to the OG 360 isn't even fair.

PS4 on the other hand looks great. I didn't like the OG PS3 or the SuperSlim but I dig the direction they're going with the PS4. The controller is still a bit meh looking though.

Thankfully controller impressions are pretty positive.  It seems like people who hated the old controller like the PS4 one.  People who liked the old controller like the PS4 one.  People still like the 360 controller more, and supposedly the XBONE controller is even better than that.  But the takeaway is that the Sony controller is good now.

And no one knows what to do with the touchpad.  I'm sure developers will figure out some stupid gimmick; free to play games have you scratching virtual lotto tickets.

I don't think many people were expecting next gen to come in at 680 or 780 performance. PS4 is barely 660 performance in TF.
