It's a super shame that Sword/Shield is being botched so badly. Their first "home console" (

) release and in typical Gamefreak fashion they fuck it up.

Over the decades i lost interest in Pokemon anyway.
Pokemon is one of the most profitable franchises in history, and they still put out games like they're on Itch or some shit.

I was being cheeky before but i do think that focusing on cramming in 500 pokemon (and adding more) instead of fixing and improving the skeleton of the game, is a stupid move.
They make billions, they could do a Breath of the Wild-style Pokemon if they wanted to, but you fuckers will just buy any piece of shit they put out, so why bother?

Ya no, at least in my case.

Also making a BotW game is pretty hard to do, generally. They could do it tho, but not if they're tied to some asinine yearly schedule.

Sometimes gaps are gud. Most of the best games in the series came after gaps.

Asking them to stop making new Pokemon species is like asking for every new Final Fantasy to feature the same cast and setting. It might be good but it wouldn't be the same, and a core appeal of the series is lost (IMO.)

There's nothing necessarily wrong with stopping new generations yearly. They can certainly take a break, they're on 1,000 Pokemon nearly. The reason they dropped the National Dex (beyond being dumb) is "because there's too many fucking Pokemon already lol" which is a good clue of "hey, maybe step back, introduce new regions and NOT do 100+ Pokemon at a time? Refine the gameplay?
