In XCom things it might say you have a 99% chance to hit something and you'll miss 10 times in a row. It basically feels like the % to hit numbers are a complete and utter lie.

Common Descent podcast just had a news article recently about snakes with feet. Apparently there was like 70 million years where snakes with legs (but no arms) were common and there was no selective pressure to get rid of them.
