The only thing that confuses me about this video... Ryckert.... has he played any game ever? Because he was oblivious to classic video gaming tropes. Don't stand in stupid stuff, don't do the same thing multiple times, alot of the concepts are everywhere and he was oblivious to everything.  I would have expected gameplay like this if someone like, my mother were playing but not someone that works for a leading video game publication.

This is a shining example of the idiocy that is Dan Ryckert. He blabbers about things that he knows nothing about, failing along the way, while being coolly criticized by his coworkers. I'm glad they didn't let him hear them so he couldn't interrupt their splendid commentary of every fault he made and stupid thing he said.

unfortunately it's very boring. i was in a group called streamfriends and it was a good group of folks including austin walker and the people from his RP podcast, as well as some others. in early 2015 austin emailed the group to let everyone know that someone in the chat had reported getting unsolicited nudes from one of the streamers. the reaction of austin and the group was that the best solution to this would be to write something in a "best practices" guide so that if it happened again, we could get rid of the offender.

i found this unacceptable and said that the offender should be revealed (if not publicly, then at least to the group) and quit. but that was deemed as something that wasn't going to happen and everyone else agreed with him, so i quit the group in disgust. still don't know who it was, just that the instant response was that this should all be covered up and swept under the rug and never mentioned again. and yes i have emails to prove all this, but again it's not very interesting stuff. just something that got me pissed.

When did wanting to wait for evidence become such a shitty thing to do? I get that harassment cases can hardly have any concrete proof but what's wrong with the stance itself? Not everybody is saying women are maniacal misandrists and I already forget his name is innocent, just that a witchhunt ain't exactly the best reaction from the jump.

More than that, what Robinson actually did (and to who) is completely vague. The scale and depth of this seems up to your imagination, you can make him out to be another Jimmy Savile if you want (though the fact some of the people saying they had heard stories remained friendly with him as recently of the goofy Krystal tweet sort of sets the bottom for it). My understanding may be outdated or incomplete at this point, but the conversation seems to be centered exclusively around people bringing up stories they heard from friends, without telling those stories, and those moving straight to making a talking point about it, like Walker (hypocritically?). There's pretty much no evidence of not only the "crime" itself, but what that crime even is exactly, which I find a little hard to accept without doubts. I want to say this isn't the first time people were told to "believe women!" (and condemn this person) without hearing any details whatsoever, it's kind of a concerning trend to then shame people who are questioning or confused by it. "Sliding into DMs" leaves a pretty exact paper trail and doesn't need to feature your identity after one min of mspaint, but failing that, just quote him or give a summary of those stories. The whole thing does seem concerning from the "internet mob" perspective.
