I once walked into a bargain bin full of dvds and I was exposed to copies of Revenge of the Nerds  and Weird Science. I suspect that the owner of the place was a Trump voter, and probably a white supremacist infowarrior. They certainly won't get my patronage any more, once I'm done with my rental of Atelier Iris 3.

Especially with people spray painting other peoples cars with the word because they're beholden due to Trump's win. It's definitely odd and unrealistic to expect old movies to have the same sense of morality than we do now, but that doesn't mean it's okay that it has increased as you say "300%" in the past month just because it existed in 90's movies.

I dunno, I dont label people as SJW because  I know the reasons why people found it annoying (so discussions get side tracked), but Im not going to pretend that I dont roll my eyes when someone gets annoyed by it. Then again, thats why I dont usually debate whatever is correct to use it  and usually just go for "Gaf is doing something stupid again".
