Hori pad thing is good, but I wish they'd made the handles a little longer and rounded on the ends. It's already distinguished mentally-challenged fellow huge so an extra inch wouldn't make much difference, and making the ends pointed was dumb design, they dig into your palms after a while. I do appreciate the back buttons, I wish they'd make this standard on console controllers next gen.

Metal Max Xeno wasn't all that good. The tank customization had a lot of detail and some of the battles had some decent challenge, but everything outside that was pretty bland or barebones. Don't think I'll play it again [even if it does let you have a cannon dog now], but I will get the sequel.

Bought Cuphead, so far it seems a perfect no bullshit game with amaizng production values.

Also finally started Doom 3, so far so good.

Ordered Luigis Mansion 3 too. And Overwatch.

If they made different themed ones that actually worked as full docking?..

Not cross-play. Probably a good thing considering that it runs at half the framerate on Switch. And Actiblizzard is too greedy to allow accounts to sync. $:-\$

Also portal overwatch just seems like hell on earth, I mean can you imagine how bad the connections are gonna be.

Just a pure lag fest of people playing on phone wifi.

I don't think it will be any worse than any other platform- it's not like there's not tons of people playing over shitty wifi connections on the consoles and PC too.

One of the Asphalt games was a pretty serviceable San Francisco Rush clone, all those games actually look really, really nice but I assume they have bullshit mechanics meant to squeeze you so I never progressed beyond the second or third races.

Asphalt Injection for the Vita was a really solid arcade racer. Gameloft make solid games in general, although they are clones of other franchises.

I think it’s pretty good considering. Watching the video the actual gameplay was fairly solid frame rate (far from perfect, but playable) but cinematically a lot more iffy, YouTube compression was so awful on that video for me I couldn’t even tell how much worse the graphics were.

I take it this is docked? If you play it docked, why would you play it on Switch instead of PS4?

I recently had a look at Wolfenstein Youngblood and it's eye cancer inducing (blurry) on Switch.
Current gen ports of graphically demanding games should best be avoided on Switch.

Yeah, it seems to be mostly holding at 25-30 FPS. Really impressive.

I'd like to get The Switcher III, but I'm not dropping $50-$60 on it. Will check it out once it hits $20-$30- and that's being generous when you can get it for $20 or less on other platforms.

I think it’s good it’s getting them, but mostly I agree, unless it’s something you really want to play portable.

But if I was like a road warrior for work, I would be loving it, even with downgrades.

Theoretically something like stadia could be better but you
Will probably never have good enough WiFi in a vote to use it.

I just tried Overwatch out- good port; plays really smooth and blah blah blah. Fortnite Chapter 2 seems to be visually improved which is nice.

It's funny because they even have a Blizzard account login option for the game. No cross-play I can understand...but not carrying over unlock progress?

Seeing reports that some people have been able to get refunds on the game by calling Nintendo and telling them they're offended by the Blizzard-China situation.

Funny thing is- people were legit saying that.

We don't know for sure if it's gonna be censored or not. Maybe they just decided to use that character model? Maybe someone goofed and uploaded the wrong screenshot? They haven't said a word about it.

Yeah poking around a bit and auto translating the JP site's front page there's no mention of if the game includes the US alterations.

Going over to Gematsu they have no mention of it either way so I guess this is speculation for now.

Am assuming it's to prevent it from overheating. They did a really good job with the newer "Mariko" Tegra used in the newer O.G. Switch and Lite models- it runs so much cooler than the launch model does.

I remember when they refused off the shelf parts for the Wii U that IBM were happy to sell them and instead made some frankenstein design with Renesas to ensure Wii backwards compatiblity that overheated at E3.
Next they opted to down clock that because it had to specifically fit in this really tiny box.

Better than Xbox 360 soon evaporated.

Oh yeah, usually always switch over to them for most games when playing portable- OW included. I think you can get them pretty easily from import game sites.
