Some of those new announcements are multiplatform:

Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is coming out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
Caligula Effect 2 is also on PS4
Neon White will also be on PC
Stubbs The Zombie will be on PC, PS4, and Xbox One

New Samurai Warriors is cool. Feels like it's been forever since the last non-licensed musou.

I'll play Triangle Square probably, my understanding based on people's impressions of BD1/2/Octopath are that these guys suck at telling stories. Great art/music/gameplay, but almost non-existent stories.

Triangle Square looks great, but I usually need a decent story in an srpg. Then again I beat FFTA2 so maybe not.

Also they should have just called this FFT3. Seems pretty pointless to have a new brand when it could've been the exact same game just using the FFT name and some chocobos.

BD1 & 2 (well, the other BD2) are perfectly fine. Octopath is a slog and unfun

Skyward Sword is not a bad game just really clunky and all the character artists were on strike when they made it.
The hype was insane though, I remember going to the Zelda concert in London just before release and hearing the theme song live  :lawd

No, it's bad and boring and full of tedious shit.

I had to give up and youtube the rest of the game after a point because it wanted me to do like 5 hours of fetching and I just got fed up and said fuck it.

I'd argue even without motion controls it's easily the worst mainline zelda by a good amount. It's just long and slow and boring af with very little redeeming qualities. I mean Spirit Tracks may be the only Zelda objectively shittier, but that's not a mainline one and was a no effort throwaway so I'm gonna leave that out.

You'd have to pay me $600 to replay Skyward Sword.

EA has finally given up and is just bloating the value of their husk with acquisitions at this point.
I don't think there's a publisher out there with less of a creative vision than EA.
I had high hopes for Respawn but MOH showed that was a fluke beyond their core team too.

EA had an exclusive deal to develop Star Wars games and now Disney/Lucas Arts are even passing on them for F2P games  :doge

Really happy Skyward Sword won't be "left behind" just because of its reliance on motion controls. It's not a great game but like Aonuma implied, there are moments of brilliance. If it's truly 1080p 60fps like the footage implied (?) that makes it even sweeter.

My bet is Wind Waker and Twlight Princess will be thrown as a simultaneous bone in November for when BOTW2 is dated for 2022.

Never heard of Famicom Detective Club but I could see myself getting sucked into something like that. :thinking

Mario Golf looks solid, never bought one before but could start here maybe.

Animal Crossing + Mario stuff is a bit underwhelming but something tells me there might be a dedicated Animal Crossing Direct after this DLC launches.

I don't think I ever even tried Sigma 2. And yeah I never touched NG3 since it sounded shit.

I remember Sigma 1 was ok, but NG:Black is still the best version. Sigma was kinda nerfed easier iirc.

The "hype" of the worst selling 3D Zelda on one of the biggest install bases. I wanted to sugarcoat it when I was still a fanboy, but there really was no energy sorrounding or within the game. They undid some of the absolute basics of 3D world design. Recently I played Dragon Quest Swords and the variety of combat scenarios completely shits over Skyward Sword, they did nothing with it. Red Steel 2 also way better. And that pastel graphics gimmick still doesn't work in HD, it's just a mess.

I know I’m not the target audience for this, but pretty disappointing anyway.

Where is Bayonetta 3? Where is Monolith Soft?

Pyra in Smash is lame. Not only because I hate her and the shit game she was form, but surely there are more iconic gaming characters to pull from?

SW5 and Ninja Gaiden are cool, but I sure am not going to play them on the Switch. Even with Nintendo money, Koei can’t get something like Age of Calamity to run. It like crap. Do any Koei games run well on Switch?

Splatoon 3 is cool I guess, but I’ll be honest I liked 1 on the Wii U over the 2nd game.

No More Heroes is of course a game I’m there for day one and the type of stuff I have A Switch for. Same for Triangle SRPG. Looks neat and in general Square’s support of the Switch is good.

Honestly, just not enough things for my taste.

Bayo 3 and Monolith are E3/TGS/TGA level announcements, not surprised Feb Direct I think.

Yes- Hyrule Warriors, Musou Orochi 2 Ultimate, Sengoku Musou 4 DX, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, and Dynasty Warriors 8 XL run at 60 FPS.  I haven't played them, but I believe Sangoku Musou 7 (DW8) Empires and Spirit Of Sanada also run at 60 FPS.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is pretty smooth most of the time and runs between 30-40 FPS.  Warriors Orochi 4/Ultimate targets 30 FPS but dips heavily.  Hyrule Warriors AoC is easily the worst-performing game they've developed, but it also runs fine for the type of game that it is- the game play is still very good.

Persona 5 Strikers also runs at a very smooth 30 FPS on Switch as well and looks fantastic, but it's 60 FPS on PS4 and PC.

Played the first battle of Triangle Strategy today. Yeah, it's definitely a successor to FFT, and it's a fair bit gritty (regicide, blood, implied beheading). The gameplay looks to be pretty straightforward FFT style, there were different characters with varied movesets (not sure if there's a class system or you have fixed characters) and you get bonuses for doing things like back attacks, exploiting weaknesses, etc. I also like how you can wander around pre-battle and talk to people... I much prefer this to the menu being a stand-in for town and camp exploration that a lot of other SRPGs have. Saved the game at a point where I have to convince the townspeople that I'm worth sparing or something... there seems to be moral choices that will affect which characters join you too. Definitely excited for this.

Man, the enhanced speed in Super Mario 3D World completely breaks any of the challenges that were on a timer. Can't wait to see if they broke the level with the flying flagpole as well or if they actually adjusted it's speed.

I imagine using Toad breaks the game even further since his gimmick is being the fastest character.
