NJ hasn’t voted a republican for president since 1988, in 2016 republicans held 5 of the 12 house seats. In the midterms that number went down to 1 until Jeff Van drew, who was just elected as a democrat, switched parties in an R+1 district. Since 1988(in years not including a strong 3rd party candidate) the republican candidate has received between 40% for bush in 2000 and Romney in 2012 to 46% of the vote for Bush in 2004. Trump got 41% of the vote in 2016. He would have to improve his numbers by 10%+ since 2016 and there is no evidence of that occurring. It’s much more likely that voters are even more polarized since 2016 and what supporters trump does have insist on displaying that publicly since trumps only platform is to own the libs.
That all said, if Trump wins NJ he’s looking at 300+ electoral votes and the country would truly be lost.
