-Performance clearly superior to a Raspberry Pi 3, probably.
-Built-in storage enough for installing as many as 1-2 games
-Voice comm requiring the use of an app on your cell phone
-Paid subscription online service feature list competitive with Heat.net
-Peripheral pricing so high and bizarrely lopsided with the initial hardware bundle that it makes buying a second Switch for parts a sensible option

...that's pretty dire, but it's still a much more compelling product than the Wii U at first reveal, simply by virtue of being a handheld. Might be somewhat more successful than the Wii U since it's not trying to leverage a poorly thought out archaic tablet as a unique selling point this time, but the cost of ownership is looking *astronomically* high. It's arguably higher than the major console competition, given the peripheral pricing, anemic built-in storage, low value paid online, etc., so it's abandoning a lot of the appeal that would otherwise come with being a handheld.

Handheld form factor and performance, but with $60 game pricing, paid online, tiny storage, and obscene peripheral costs. Worst of both worlds, arguably, and the mediocre mobile SoC isn't going to do it any favors when people hook it up to their living room setups. I seriously doubt I'll want to stretch out Switch games onto my 75" 4K HDR TV.

Not exactly situated to take the market by storm with all that and a very thin launch lineup. Not something that's easy to root for as a consumer, either, since Nintendo loaded up on anti-consumer business decisions here. It's telling that first shipment pre-orders are still available.

I remember not too long ago gaf was complaining about how Trump had changed Black History Month to African American History Month ( which wasn't true, it had been changed long before Trump.It had also been African-American under Obama, and nobody on gaf cared then).Then gaffers were saying "wtf I like to be called black, not african american" . Somebody mentioned it in one of those threads and it went unnoticed but I hadn't thought of it but Evilore should cut the Junior posts/times in half at minimum. Maybe even more so for a limited time. Approving accounts that have been waiting for a year or so won't do as much when they're all juniors for another six months plus. That's assuming they bother to join in. And continue doing so when they get shit on for being juniors.

The only thing people can do is reconnect to the grassroots and get to know each other again in real life. The days of smugly patting ourselves on the back and assuming the country agrees with us are over. I still think we have the numbers but does it matter if no one is connected, no one cares about each other, and people who should vote don't?

I guess I'm going back to DC or Chicago. I'm quitting my job next year, unless I do something stupid like get sick/injured or get married lol, in which case I should probably remain employed right. Everything I worked for is gone, like that. Everything I thought was important for the future is in peril or gone. And if I feel that way, and all the aides I know feel that way...the president must be devastated. And angry. He lost last night too, and now his presidency becomes little more than a feel good story or a foot note, assuming republicans do what we all expect them to do. He'll be back, he'll remain the most popular democrat in the country, in many ways this will remain his party...but his base basically told him "thanks but I'm too busy today." After 9 years.

I'm not some big shot guy, I'm not Podesta or some manager. I'm a former researcher, aide, etc. But I can get things done, have friends, know what I'm doing, etc. Whether in the capitol or elsewhere, I'm going to do what I can and start looking for the future. Do I expect to find it soon? Hell no. But there's going to be a big opportunity for someone to have a strong voice against Trump. It's not going to be Warren or most of the older candidates. TBH I hope it comes from outside Washington but who knows.
