First post here, been reading these threads for years now, finally decide to participate. Speaking of which, what kind of backwater operations is demi running here? I signed up few days ago and never even got the congratulatory email that said, "Hey, you've been accepted into this prestigious academy!". I decided to try my luck by logging in and was surprised that it worked.

Anyway, I've been on GAF for years and have followed the OPA and Evilbore drama over the years as well as babygoat drama more recently (I'm a member of all three forums) I was in one of the first waves to get into RestroomERA and so far it's pretty meh. I've only made few posts on there. We'll see how things play out in few weeks/months.

Regarding the success of RestroomERA, I was in a bunch of GAF discords and they were full of people who were the most active in GAF. I stayed mostly in gaming but all the high PPD people that I kept seeing in gaming were in the Discords so the exodus was always going to include them. As for prominent OT posters, no way they would have stayed.

On an ending note, I don't know why you guys kept making fun of Dennis when he was on GAF and now in here, he looks like a model with high cheekbones and a chiseled jaw compared to the typical overweight neckbear. Projecting much?

-Performance clearly superior to a Raspberry Pi 3, probably.
-Built-in storage enough for installing as many as 1-2 games
-Voice comm requiring the use of an app on your cell phone
-Paid subscription online service feature list competitive with Heat.net
-Peripheral pricing so high and bizarrely lopsided with the initial hardware bundle that it makes buying a second Switch for parts a sensible option

...that's pretty dire, but it's still a much more compelling product than the Wii U at first reveal, simply by virtue of being a handheld. Might be somewhat more successful than the Wii U since it's not trying to leverage a poorly thought out archaic tablet as a unique selling point this time, but the cost of ownership is looking *astronomically* high. It's arguably higher than the major console competition, given the peripheral pricing, anemic built-in storage, low value paid online, etc., so it's abandoning a lot of the appeal that would otherwise come with being a handheld.

Handheld form factor and performance, but with $60 game pricing, paid online, tiny storage, and obscene peripheral costs. Worst of both worlds, arguably, and the mediocre mobile SoC isn't going to do it any favors when people hook it up to their living room setups. I seriously doubt I'll want to stretch out Switch games onto my 75" 4K HDR TV.

Not exactly situated to take the market by storm with all that and a very thin launch lineup. Not something that's easy to root for as a consumer, either, since Nintendo loaded up on anti-consumer business decisions here. It's telling that first shipment pre-orders are still available.

True story about El scorcho. I had a ton of conversations with him throughout the last few months of his life. He literally sent me a PM saying he was about to go to the hospital the day before he passed. He knew he would die there and hinted at it in the PM.

About two weeks later, his gf found me through his PMs and sent me a message detailing a link to donations if anybody wanted to remember him in that way. It's absolutely necessary. In fact, I think we should even have an option to display what our race is as well. If we're having a discussion that involved minority groups, we should know which people have the opinions that actually matter to the discussion If someone is a white male, we know that they don't have the insight to participate on a discussion about police brutality, or something of the like. As it is right now, people might erroneously assume everyone is a cis white male, which isn't good for discussion. We need to know who here actually has a viewpoint that contributes to those discussions.

While this #metoo thing has merit and warranted in many cases, when it comes to female celebrity - even up to the point of the issues going on with Gaf and the whole "GG" psyop, it seems that Pre-Kim K sex tape the view of Hollywood was that this casting couch thing, while very very bad and cringey, was the way the UNION city of hollywood was going to be run.

With the #metoo going about? People are asking why it took so long? Who didnt step up? Why isnt he in jail? But people dont realize sadly and the Union city of Hollywood does it best to hide it - but their is something called Yhaut(sp) Culture going on for years. And Harvey and many others were all in this game. Some actresses have to do shady shit (and one of the Pussycat Dolls alluded to this) to get what they want.
