I knew a trans kid in high school. This was in the 90s, so it was called Gender Identity Disorder at the time. He had major issues. Would once in awhile show up in a skirt. One day he told me he had SID/GID according to his doctor. and that's the only reason I view him as that. He didn't ever live as the opposite gender within school.  Most of the other students didn't hang out with him because he had a creepy smile and laugh.

Then met a FtM boy like age 20. He dated TWO of my friends that weren't friends until the connection through me and the realization they both dated him. He was on hormone pills at the time, starting transition.

In junior high an intersex kid was a friend of my friends, but by that time I had quit that school and never knew them much. It didn't help him out that his name was Pat.

I think Black Panther is a cool moment in  pop culture, but it's not some mankind defining moment. Nerds need some perspective.

And as for the Vávra thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy is casually racist, but I honestly doubt he is malicious. He's proud of his heritage and probably a bit of an asshole, one of those smart assholes. I don't know, I just doubt he's some extreme alt right neo nazi or something. How could he be?
