This is a pretty weird thread since you'd expect them to be like "OH WOW THIS IS A GREAT IDEA I THINK I'LL DO IT TOO" and are instead mad at the guy for having white privilege and living in a fantasy land for being able to not consume hours and hours of political news every day. To them, he's the sad and unhealthy one because he's not torturing himself over reading about Donald Trump all day.

As it turns out, you don't have to be rich at all to avoid Trump news. It's actually super, duper easy to not watch the news or read papers. Most people don't want to hear to talk about any of this shit either. I don't know where these people are going where they're constantly getting into political discussions.

Hey,

One of my greatest goals is to live in japan and experience its good and bad things, I've read plenty of books about its culture, work ethics, social issues and treatment of foreigners. Since I was young, I really wanted to be there and experience everything but never had the chance given how difficult is to immigrate as a Peruvian.

Now I am 26 turning 27 in July and have a bachelor's degree in Mass Media. As a Peruvian that studied in a Peruvian university, that doesn't mean that much given the reputation of my country and my job record isn't anything astonishing(worked in marketing for a Korean gaming publisher, made my own gaming magazine, worked in UX and UI, etc.).My english skills are pretty good, and I plan to do the TOEFL test but I don't know how much weight it have on japan. Native spanish is almost useless there I guess.

I also wanted to help the community by documenting how is living in Japan as a peruvian given how little information you can find about it and give tips to everyone that want lo live here too.

One of my mom's best friend is a Japanese lady that have a lot of family there (like daughters and grand-daughters) and once she found out about my dream, she told me a plan to have a job and a working visa but I don't know how feasible it really is:

-She will go back to live in japan in April, she will start looking for entry level jobs that offer work visa but most of them require live interviews. These jobs may be bartender and stuff; I don't have any issue with these jobs if they let me earn money to study there and find a better job. Also, they are a great chance to learn the language ASAP even if I already have the basics.

-Once she gathers a good number of interviews, she will hit me up and I will start doing the papers for a tourist visa. The Japanese government requires putting the places you will stay during your trip and I can use her address.

-I will quit my current job as a UX/UI and sell most of my stuff (I am kinda already doing that.) and pay for the necessary expenses like food, plane ticket, etc.

-The next day after I arrive there, go to these interviews and hope for the best.

-After they give me the working visa papers, I have to leave the country(maybe to China because is near and the tickets are kinda cheap) and enter again to I can change my visa status from "tourist" to "working".

With the TOEFL I planned to apply for an english teaching position as my second job.

So, what do you think about it? Would you do that? Is feasible?
