This is how fucked in the head they are. They see it as a "loss", not just for a group they identify with for online fights, but a lot of them are feeling a kind of personal loss that a gay black man did not have his ribs broken and bleach poured on him while being nearly lynched by people from an opposing political faction from them. A lot of them are even actually upset that this didn't happen.
That's how completely and totally unhinged from reality some of these posters are. Experiencing the stages of grief over a violent politically motivated crime NOT happening.
Even though they could just nope out of the thread understanding that they got overly personally involved in their position earlier, jussiefiably early on, but now can just be like "fuck that dude" privately.
But that belies the reality that this whole thing is just another proxy war within an ongoing ceaseless campaign of cultural attrition they feel they need to wage on a forum that has ~5000 active posters a day. Of whom 75% won't even not buy Atlus products despite the games being produced by a modern day incarnation of Unit 731.
