Not to care post because  but I find nationality stripping horrendous and in this case pretty disgusting as it feels like pure cynical convenience from European governments to leave them stranded over there. Everyone should be entitled to a fair trial on clear, lawful, charges. Not necessarily at home but the few things I gathered from Iraqi justice and jailing conditions doesn't strike me as up to the sort of basic standard decency we claim to uphold. Does being the wife of a ISIS djihadist in itself a crime (provided the person hasn't commited any other illegal acts besides) ? Are their children guilty ? I'm not convinced and those should absolutely be repatriated if they are willing so, facing legal consequences if need be.

Of course it's not easy and convenient to manage radicals and I understand the purported security risk attached but I have a hard time believing a few hundreds people (which AFAIK is the total of all European prisoners currently in Irak's custody and being discussed recently) are above a threshold of "utterly unmanageable" on a continent whose recent history is littered with bitter wars.

It's right down the same alley as drone strikes. I don't think anyone should be cheerful that people can be stripped of their citizenship (and all protections they may entail) at the drop of a hat because your government feels like it.

She's getting her citizenship removed because she has Bangladeshi citizenship. As far as I know by law so long as it doesn't leave them stateless, then it's kosher to remove their citizenship. Why dump the cost of incarcerating her on the tax payer when you can dump it on Bangladesh instead? Sucks for them, but as the kids would say 'you snooze, you lose'. She is their problem now. 

My understanding is that she could be eligible for a Bengali passport but she does not possess that citizenship. Bangladesh doesn't want her either.

I didn't touch on the whole international prohibition on rendering people stateless (I think citizenship stripping, especially in the manner the UK has allowed itself to enact it, is wrong regardless) but there's also that, yes.

Leaving anyone without citizenship is wrong. However, this cancer cell voluntarily left your body but now it wants back and you should let it because "human rights". I fail to see how this would be beneficial to the rest of society.
These aren't people who were forcibly conscripted to serve in the Waffen SS by an occupational force, they willfully betrayed their countries and the free societies they used to live in to join and support a murder cult outside of human civilization, with the goal of destroying said free societies. Given the chance, these people would have cut your head off.

I think that question is best asked "who is the most pathetic toadie of the mods?"  DigitalOP is an idiot but aggressive.  Excel is like a vacuum of thought and intelligence, a person with a bachelor level degree pretending to be a PHD and esoteric to the point stupidity overcomes and collapses in on itself.  A black hole of attempts to be accepted by academia.

Credit cards are just more convenient though. So long as you let your bank know beforehand you are going abroad so your card doesn't get put on hold, you can just do a cash advance at the ATM instead of carrying around a wad of foreign cash. Paying interest rates is worth the convenience tbh.

Just like that's the worst position to probably verafled someone as, let alone talk like they're part of a development team/industry culture. Especially considering how much that's outsourced these days. I could literally become one probably tomorrow if I wanted to. And my gaming contacts outside The Bire are outdated garbage.

In house QA is one of the most valuable tools a game dev studio can have. Especially if the team is treated as a proper resource an involved in the dev process fully and not just at the end.

I say this as a programmer with 10 years of experience who has dealt with a number of scenarios. If I can have my choice I will never work somewhere that doesn't have a team of dedicated onsite QA again.

What is the Canadian Embassy in Beijing going to do for a guy whose problems are "did absolutely no planning at all" related? At best they may have an employee willing to let him buy some cash off them since he's afraid to use ATMs. Anything else they'll just direct to him to the endless number of services that exist for getting him out of the country if he wants to bail out. This is assuming they'll actually take an appointment from him.
