It's actually a tough situation, from the sidelines at least. Because when someone is accused of something, I generally want to see the evidence before I decide they did it. But with cp accusations, I don't want to see the evidence, so how can I know if 8chan is really what RE says it is?
In the case of Amir0x, investigators looked at his computer and said, "Yep, he has cp." And I can trust those investigators, so I can join in on the "Yeah, he needs to go to jail" sentiment.
But with this 8chan business, I don't trust anyone from 8chan to admit if they host cp, and I don't trust RE to accurately state how things are over there. So it's best to just shrug about the situation and not chime in.
I do think that given there are so many of us that don't know a lot about 8chan, it's very believable that THQ really didn't know what they were getting into.
