Surgeon tropes on TV medical shows (obsessive, direct, rude, clinical, not necessarily rocket scientists, etc etc) all have some basis in fact. Unless he's operating on your Mexican baby you should be OK. But I just had an argument with someone who disapproves of Trump immensely but voted for him anyway and she couldn't name a single policy beyond "jobs and the economy are doing well" so I am reminded that people like her ARE in fact 100% responsible for the evil shit they don't want credit for.If you vote (R) you are approving of Trump and giving him power to do worse shit and you can't even rationally make a case for why you're doing it any more. She voted for him in 16 "to shake things up" and voted to keep him in power in 2018 but pretended she sat the election out, but when she accidentally let slip that she voted for him, she claims to only supports the "good things" he does. Which she then couldn't name - and she brushes off every negative as "he's just saying it for drama" or "he doesn't really believe that" or "every politician does stuff you disagree with." On that last point she's correct. I'd have to hold my nose to vote for about 60% of the 2020 candidates one way or another, but being annoyed at one or two policy outliers, or their age, or past buffoonery is no longer a luxury the country can afford to have.Things aren't normal now. The entire electoral system and the teeth in the checks and balances are going to need a massive constitutional overhaul.
