Assuming Stadia will be a success that needs to be emulated is getting way ahead of things. Certain genres work fine via streaming, and some don't really work at all. Digital Foundry pegging Stadia at 186ms of lag isn't promising.
I like streaming when I'm out of the house, it was part of the reason I got a PS4 Pro (for 1080p instead of 720p). And I've had a Steam Link since that product launched. But there are plenty of games I can't stand to play via streaming at all because it is too poor of an experience. Stadia has serious advantages in theory over those streaming products, even uploading with my gigabit fiber connection, but it doesn't have any kind of game-changing advantage.
