Yakuza 8 being an isekai rpg in what looks like AMERICA is a fucking hilarious idea for their 7+ series of jrpg riffs.

Avowed looks generic as fuck, but hopefully Obsidian's writing and world lore will save it. Wish it was legit Pillars 3 instead of a Pillars spin-off side story, but still could have good writing/plot/characters.

Project Re: Fantasy being alive after all this time is cool; figured it was a dead project and Hashino and the team were going to get forced back to Persona. Though the fact it still looks almost exactly like Persona is ehhh. Looks cool, but just looks like Persona 6 tbh.

Starfield looked great as did Forza, apart from that it was DLC, multi-platform, CG or very early in development.

Seems that the rumors about Avowed and Fable being rebooted were true. Also lots of no shows, nothing from MachineGames or ID Software, no Perfect Dark, Mass Effect, Dragon Age or any of the other games announced before.
I feel like we're going in circles with games being announced, 2 or 3 ship within 4 to 5 years and the rest is never seen again. They first showed Hellblade June 2019 when the Xbox Series X was announced and now it's finally releasing in 2024.
And what they showed today of Hellblade was a single quite boring cutscene.

Slayers X is really good. Map design reminiscent of Redneck Rampage, some spicy stuff in there. Storyline is bonkers. Also very short. Worthy spin-off of Hypnospace

Exoprimal's final boss mission was amazing omg. I need more of this chaos.

I'll keep playing to level up the different suits/characters and to get some remaining achievements. Looking forward to whatever Capcom does next with this game.

Edit: Hold up, completing the story unlocks something called the Savage Gauntlet. Looks like it's a mode with even harder missions. Perfect.

Venba is a solid ~~walking~~ cooking simulator

Genuinely affecting narrative so far, and I had to stop playing to cook some real food as the stuff in the game was so appetizing

Sea of Stars just came out and looks interesting, definitely a homage to Chrono Trigger by the looks of the trailer (same composer!?) and the graphics look beautiful. Western jrpg tho

It was one my favorite game experiences in the last 5 years. Just charming, super chill, and ends right where it needs to.

Fuck, thanks for the heads up. I don't know how long FUGA is, but I've only played through 2 or 3 chapters so far. Exoprimal stole all of my limited gaming time, but I'm done with it for now. Got every achievement except for the kill 10k dinos one.

I got the 1000/1000 in Frog Detective the other day. Rock solid indie game, the most basic gameplay systems imaginable. Very very funny. Bizarre characters. Kinda thing you either vibe with or don't.
