Yeah, I'll play through anything Obsidian puts out, but Obsidian games are all about the story/writing and this version of Grounded is the game...without the story yet. So I'll wait until the actual story campaign is out next year. Assuming that should be free on game pass as well anyhow.
Tried a few things last night
The Touryst - I'd heard good things about this on Switch and I like Shin'en's Fast Racing/RMX. At first I really liked this, but then after a couple islands I got really bored and bailed. Funny thing on PC is changing your refresh rate changes the speed of the game. I had it on 144hz at first and it moved at turbo speed and honestly it was more fun than at 60hz normal speed. Game needs a run button at normal speed.
Neon Abyss - Did not like this at all. Controls just couldn't click with me on KB+M or gamepad (jumping with trigger?). Not even sure what I think of the game structure/concept because the controls were such a turn off I bailed pretty fast.
Golf with your Friends - Ehhhh. I like that it has a ton of mini-golf courses, but I didn't find the golfing mechanic very satisfying. Played better mini-golf games in the past and obviously stuff like Hot Shots even in putting mode kicks this things ass.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 - Great PC port. Looks nice, runs great, controller support works perfect. No idea when I'll play this since I'd rather play the Yakuza games I haven't gone through yet (and the games are mostly about the story, so I'd rather play the new stories than remakes until I'm out of new stories), but this is great for sure.
Also idk if I ever talked about it but I played Sea Salt and liked it a bunch. I hear it gets damn near impossible later on because the controls are kind of not accurate, but this is one of the best atmosphere'd Lovecraft games I've played in a while. Gameplay feels a bit like it's from the DS era of game design.
Stuff I still need to try on Game Pass: Plague's Tale, Pathologic 2, Forager
