Dirt 5 is coming to game pass next week, which seems like an extra quick turn around, it only came out in November. Has anything ever hit gamepass this quick

Holy shit, anime tits souls is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than I expected.

I was expecting something polished like The Surge that basically played like Dark Souls but now with ANIME. I liked in the tutorial that you can change classes on the fly.

But the movement and combat feels fucking awful. Like some zero budget PS2 era game. And even the cutscenes are full of characters clipping through their clothes. It's like this game had zero budget. Which is weird because it seemed like a big game for Bandai Namco?

Couldn't take anymore after about 30 mins.

Also tried Wreckfest and it's fine, but I don't like that the damage effects the handling. Like in demolition derby right from the first hit now your car drives like shit the rest of the time? Definitely wasn't scratching the Destruction Derby/Twisted Metal/Burnout itch. Just felt like the Flatout racers with better debris and destruction derbys.

Code Vein? I played about the first two hours of it. It's painfully average which is worse than it straight up being trash. At least trash can be fun.

It's why I like gamepass. When I drop a game I don't feel bad since it's not part of my backlog anyways.

I'm finding Mass Effect Andromeda to be a real bore after 15-20 hours. The side quests all suck, the loot sucks, the load times suck. The action is fine.

The lore is good, but the dialog is terrible. There's no option to play a more serious, scientific, rational Ryder. The dialog wheels are just different ways to say the same thing. No renegade options. The characters speak like teenagers, and they're meant to be the best and brightest colonists the Milky Way has to offer? Sheesh. I'd like to blame the MCU for the dumbing down of nerd shit across the board. Everyone needs to be a snappy fucking Iron Man cracking jokes while a planet explodes

I wouldnt bother even if it was there. As others have said its much lesser/buggier/crappier/unfinished beta version of these newer open world games like AssCreed. Apparently Bioware bled a lot of talent during the 10's hence Andromeda, Anthem

You know, after the PS5 version of Dirt was killed 2 weeks after release when they added vsync which broke the game causing random frame drops to 15-20fps from 60 at spots every race I was ready to check it out on PC at unlocked fps on a 165hz gsync monitor.

Tried it out and...definitely smoother, but even on max everything the PC graphics look...shitty? Dynamic res is off but everything in the distance looks really low res. I feel like the PS5 version looks way better and sharper.

And honestly coming from the Dual Sense it's pretty jarring. Oh well.

I read the latest PS5 patch this week reduced the slowdown drops a lot, though they are still there. Will probably give the PS5 version another spin over the weekend to compare.

Game is an alright arcade racer. It's not great, but it's not bad outside certain event types that control like dogshit. Reminds me of Sega Rally Reboot but not as good.

Which Wolfenstein is good?

Dishonored 2 is a fantastic game.

I think Wolfenstein Youngblood is the only bad one. Any of the other 3 modern Wolfenstein games should be good. Personally thought both the writing and combat in New Colossus was way weaker. New Order was my favourite of the new ones.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a well paced action romp that's a great entry to the series.

Wolfenstein: Old Blood has a focus on action and stealth. Stealth doesn't work as well as the action. Still worth playing if you like the The New Order.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has more emphasis on the story and hub segments between the missions. It starts slower but if you like more story driven games you'll dig it.
Like Hardcoreretro I liked The New Order more.

Wolfenstein: Young Blood is garbage. It has all the worst looter shooter elements without being a real looter shooter. It's a very weird game that's a chore to play.
Hell, I prefer both Perfect Dark Zero and Duke Nukem Forever to this game.

Not particularly - sometimes there is a sale on cards but you have to keep an eye out (ie. Wario64 twitter)

You could also do the 2 year trick where you pay for 2 years of XBL Gold, then do the $1 promotion which converts all your XBL Gold to GPU at a 1:1 conversion so you get 2 years of GPU for ~$120

Got all cheevs in Undertale without beating the game lol (I'm up to final boss).

Incredible shit though, like the xbox 'exclusive content' and achievements actually take the piss out of xbox achievement whores. Its brilliant. Great game, I laughed, I cried, I thought.

Started Wolfenstein the New Order. Seems pretty sweet, shit the game does right:
- Super fast and smooth action, very little loadtimes
- Im playing on hardest difficulty (Uber) which is challenging but pretty fair so far.
- Game rewards getting into the fray and kicking ass quickly rather than hiding behind shit and regen health (ie. CoD on Veteran)
- Collectibles are shown on the map: every game should do this. Amazing
- Easy achievements, no bullshit dead multiplayer GaaS or DLC
