Why is it that this thread is the first time I've seen people try to argue that simply saying something harsh about but not at someone (particularly an influential person with a degree of privilege who has hurt them) is harassment? I've seen countless posts on this forum alone saying things just as harsh about other celebrities, but nobody thought to say, for example, "wow stop saying "fuck Terry Gilliam," that post is harassment."Is this a thing I just haven't noticed, or is it just Contra supporters clutching at this straw?

I don’t know anything about XenForo but if it works like old GAF a locked thread does nothing from stopping a mod from posting. It used to happen to us all the time where one person would get to work crafting an actual reply while anothe mod would take a quick glance and say “this thread sucks I’m locking it.” And when the first person submits the reply they aren’t warned that the thread is locked already.
