This is why corporations are awful:

Everyone at my location including my manager now that I’ve been on a facts crusade think it’s wisest to close now. My manager blames “Bob” (manager of all locations) in a rare go around, Bob actually talks directly to me, and then blames supply chain. Ineffective bullshit.

Official word is we will only close if we have a confirmed case at our location THATS TOO LATE

I mean my whole family in February got the "flu" with 102+/104+ fevers and respiratory stuff that 2 months later we're still recovering from with lingering coughs. My mom was in the ER and I almost died.

I would think it could have been Covid...except that my mom is the only person who got tested and a swab test said it was H1N1 Flu type A. So I really doubt it was anything but that unfortunately. Would be nice if we had all survived this and been immune now.

we actually discussed this before where I considered doing his interview and getting hired as him for a Qualcomm job QA testing compilers (easy)... did not follow through, but tantalizing

I didn't even think of that. He resigned over the testing strategy and also probably on account of his, AFAIK, open feuds with some other French mandarins. He has a cushy position in a Marseilles big hospital and that's a long term meal ticket, even if not the best paying one, where he has relatively free reign.

I wouldn't be surprised he had some contacts with Trump people (among others) via mail or phone tho.

More cases of clusters / suspicious deaths found into French retirement homes. Maybe 40 deaths and a couple of hundred cases (including staff) over three institutions. I think we're in the running to give the 2003 heat wave and its estimated 15000 deaths a run for its money.

Edit : 16 deaths in a nursing home that started curtailing visits on March 5 and tried to be proactive.

My roommate's employer told them all they've been exposed to someone who has Corona, then walked it back and said it wasn't like they originally said, and then came back this morning and said no, they've probably all been exposed. Which means I've probably been exposed.
