I find it interesting how Americans always bring up "but what about people of colour" on this threads, as if the US was so great with them. They're just as likely to encounter racism in Europe, true. But what about their economic mobility? What about the statistical chances of being shot by police or being separated from your parents and thrown in a cage?

If they were overly sentenced the only explanation is that they deserved it. Therefore they must have past crimes both seen and unseen.
