I don't know how to make it through the day anymore. Every day I just feel worse and worse. Gaming side hates me, and even participating in discussions makes me feel like I'm some kind of intruder who no one wants around. I can't talk about politics anymore because everything the Republicans do makes me feel like the world is two steps away from armageddon. Just about the only discussions I feel like I'm not wrong for getting involved in seem to be the ones about TV, and I barely watch any anymore.Meanwhile, my work situation continuously gets worse day after day after day, to the point at which I feel like I'm breathing poison 5 days a week just to pay rent for an apartment I don't want to live in in, a city I've wanted to leave since before the pandemic started. My weekends barely even count as rest at this point because of how horrible my work-day stress has become. I hate my body - just the feeling of living in it makes me want to scream 24/7. That's also the guy that kept asking for a change in the guidelines to clarify that the rules are different for mods, after Nepenthe's derailing the Amazon driver punching an old lady thread. AND his prior month-long ban was for the thread about spiking Black gun ownership/getting pretty transparently baited into hostility. I'm not surprised they got him in the end, but I am surprised they didn't just threadban him from Constructive and then perm him the next time he lets himself get baited. I guess doing it this way sends a message.
That forum should be on some sort of Department of Health watchlist or something. Maybe a health warning splash page to advise that "Resetera is harmful to your mental health".

It doesn't just reek of conspiracy, it reeks of war mongering and hositlity. This feels like the step one to being more hostile towards China. Because if it did leak from a lab, so what? What do we do? Go to war? Stop funding international research on diseases? People just want to be racist and go to war with China, no doubt.

I just find the concept of depictions of real people in a video game weird.It must be bizarre for the computer people in these games to see that, but they don't seem to care. I guess the idea is that they'd look at that like we look at CG or animated depictions of people. But as a real person, it's weird to play a game presenting a CG world, with real people in it. Like...how does that make sense? How do you explain it? How do the characters in this world know what real people look like? Where did they get these photos from? Is Yakuza a parallel dimension to ours? You can travel between them? Who has this technology? Why are they using it to put photos of real porn stars on a wall in a video game?They should put some kind of filter on those photos to make them look like they belong in a CG world.Otherwise my brain just starts dipping down that rabbit hole.

With today's Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water announcement, yet another Wii U game has made its way to the Nintendo Switch.Everybody assumed Nintendo would port Wii U games to the Nintendo Switch, with the relative failure of the platform, but I had no idea they would end up porting this many.And don't get me wrong, I'm glad more people get to play these games; everybody should play these games, after all.But man if it doesn't make be a little bitter because it's really starting to make me feel like I wasted my damn money on the Wii U and its software.I'm not trying to gatekeep by any means and I certainly don't want the games held hostage on the Wii U hardware, but had I known Nintendo would be pulling this shit to the extent they are, I would have just opted out of the Wii U completely and just sat on my hands instead.Sorry, just a bit salty I guess.
