i'm in the "bought too many consoles" camp as well so i can't judge there. bought and sold a ps4, got three xboxen (og used, traded in for an s, traded in s for an x) and got a switch.

the iteration of consoles made it a bit "easier" to get multiples over the gen, which is not something i normally do. i'm in no rush for next gen though, the x1x and pc take care of almost everything i'd want to play plus switch for nintendo first party.

I bought a PS4, sold that to a friend/former roommate along with a TV because I didn't want to move it when I was moving out. Another base PS4 because it was on sale, and a Switch when it launched. If a Switch Pro is a real thing, I'll buy that as well.

I will also readily admit that if Xbox Series X boots Windows, I'll get that too because then it's just a prebuilt desktop PC, and I don't have the space to custom build something right now.
