Oh btw cops are STILL beating the shit out of/gassing/shooting peaceful protesters all around the country even though the news media isn't covering protests as much anymore. NYPD is still getting recorded daily beating and gassing peaceful protesters without provocation. Smaller cities in the mid west are having the same shit going on. There's a story out of Ft. Wayne where a 3 year old got pepper sprayed, cops waited for her to get cleaned up and stop crying, then threw a tear gas canister at her feet while she was naked and covered in all the gunk. They weren't even protesting. The girl and her mother lived downtown and were trying to get home when they had to leave their car because of tear gas. Then the cops pepper sprayed and threw a tear gas canister at a toddler for lulz.
Wild shit going on in Arizona and NM. My city's police department banned choke holds and then literally 2 days later a guy got arrested in something unrelated to protesting, wasn't resisting at all, was half in handcuffs, and the cop just randomly puts him in a rear naked choke and throws him to the ground where he and the other cop put their knees on his upper back and shoulders.
Also seeing a lot of videos of cops declining to intervene in situations like: A group of white guys surrounding an Asian man and shoving him into the middle of traffic, a group of stars and bars guys assaulting a guy asking police where he can protest as they watch him get punched in the head and don't react at all, police allowing wild ass white guys with assault rifles to intimidate protesters and refusing to act until they literally start shooting at people.
None of this is cooling down. Just because you aren't seeing it as much on TV doesn't mean it has ended.
