2020 has broken me so badly that I feel the story about trump & the Georgia Secretary of State is political theater to cover their butts when, legally or illegally, the two senate seats are won by republicans.
It seems to me that the few sane people left in the White House try to channel Trump's anger and conspiracies by arranging these phone calls for him so he can rant and rave and they can 'circle back', 'compare data', 'look at it' without actually doing anything.
On the 1 hour call it was just Trump ranting for 45 minutes and Brad rebuking him and in the end Meadows chimed in with some 'circle back - compare data' nonsense.
Brad said they had already done all that and didn't want to play along but then Meadows repeated the exact same thing again (with different words) and Brad got the message this was their way out of the call and agreed to do basically nothing.
And then Trump said something like "This all needs to go faster, we can't keep wasting time like this Mark". Pointing at the fact that Meadows has tried to make other such arrangements in the past.
Anyhow, Trump was not used to being told the truth, that much was clear. He said to Brad: 5000 dead people voted and Brad said: "That was actually 2"... and then Trump immediatly grilled his aides: "Only 2? Is that true?" ... "Well our data sample is incomplete so if Brad can circle back with the complete data set than we compare the numbers blah blah"
In any case, Trump seems to have entered the bargaining phase and his aides are stalling for time.
