Meh. The whole thing was really silly so I don't want to turn it into some big deal. Certainly part of my gimmick over there is going after fanboys or people who can't take criticism on viewpoints they hold. So in that sense I'm always in danger of stirring shit up and getting banned and sometimes arguably it is justifiable for a ban to be fair. In this case it was Evilore and Amirox attacking Giant Bomb because the quick look wasn't overly praising of said game. So I mocked them in a couple of posts. The ban posting said they were "tired of my elitism". Now of course my opinion is that you won't find two more elitist mods than those two but hey, we are all entitled to our opinion. Their site. Their rules.

I thought Amir0x was pretty chilled out about people mocking him. I think Boogie tears him a new asshole on a regular basis and gets away with it. Speaking of which, I need to take a sabbatical away from GAF. I've been doing way too much Sony trolling. PSP Go appears to be fair game for mockery but a few of my PS3 comments might bite me in the ass. Sony fans are declaring victory before a full month's NPD results are posted. It is ridiculous. A dude today suggested that numbers no longer matter when it comes to Sony's newfound victory. At least in the past they used the Ferrari excuse but they at least relied on quantitative data; now they are proposing they ditch the idea of previous sales numbers. Apparently the PS3 Slim's launch date was a virtual reset to 0 for console sales this generation. I guess this generation has officially started. November 2005 to August 24, 2009 was just practice and didn't really count.

On the gaming side there is an interesting sort of learning curve to how you can mock and get away with it even though certain forms of mocking hypocritically are encouraged and certain forms are never allowed.

But yeah as a general rule its almost always better to stop posting when you notice certain trends are annoying you. Which is why I occasionally stop posting in Poligaf threads over there.

That actually looks kinda tame for a surgery video but I'm just amazed at the dimensions of the fungi. He probably didn't even notice it until he couldn't breathe through his left nostril I guess.

It's not that gross at all if you don't mind blood. The video shows the superstitious practice for dealing with the nosebleed of this patient and how it doesn't work and then you see the doctor find the bleeding point and cauterize it in like a couple minutes.

Uh that's not the same thing. There's a difference between finding something low brow enjoyable, and calling something low brow's literary or cinematic merit GREAT, like, for instance, saying Super Mario Bros. has great writing.

I like Final Fantasy VIII's story because it's entertaining to me. But in now way am I going to say it's a GREAT story either.

Then again, I haven't seen Daredevil. How bad is it?
