Stoney, if people are mad right now it's for good reason, even if there is a sheepish quality to it at this point. I agree that trolling can become overbearing to the point where it's difficult to wade through it to discuss the game, but you seem deadset on disconnecting any emotion from the discussion. Discussion of games invariably involve people getting emotional in one way or the other. Be it that people are falling over themselves to praise the game and defend the developer against any "dirt," or people getting overtly critical of relatively small issues due to some larger slights, it's human nature to attach emotion to discussion. That's what you get when you partake in communities with, you know, humans.

I praised following rules. If a rule is don't troll then that's the rule. Or even how I got banned. I disagree with it but if that's their rule, hey it is what it is.

That thread is nothing about rules. It's the very opposite of rules they have set up in fact.

No one says you can't criticize a game. I'm all for that. In fact there were 4 threads I counted that did that. What that thread is doing is taking the vocal mob and letting them run things. Which is par for the course in many cases on GAF.

Nothing about that thread is consistent with how GAF has handled official threads. I could site 50 examples but do I really need to. There are a group of PC owners who are upset about dedicated servers. That is perfectly fine. Voice that displeasure. What you shouldn't do is let the voice of those people over-ride and drive the entire forum discussion on a game. Especially since you have plenty of people on the 360 or the PS3 who are being dragged into issues that don't involve them. I own a 360. While I don't agree with removing dedicated serves for the PC I also don't care. Because it doesn't effect me. It's why I haven't posted in that PC thread about Mw 2 over here very much. Because I respect the right for people to talk and complain about it. But I don't care too which is why I don't particpate in that thread. Especially if it derails actual conversation when it doesn't effect a ton of people or the people who actually want to discuss the game. I posted in that other MW 2 thread on here to say I pre-ordered. Specifically for that point. So one discussion doesn't over-ride the other.
