It was really short, like premature ejaculation short!  The gameplay was ok, it was at best, average.

It wasn't bad, but it's not in the echelon of good FPS games of last gen.  It felt unfinished and like it was the victim of not enough tech.  It wasn't so bad that I think the developers are incompetent.  I'm not buying into the Killzone 2 hype from those renders, but if they deliver visuals on par with that CG movie, consider my interest piqued.

Killzone PS2 = good shooting gameplay, amazing art style, incredibly bad tech. Framerate and bad camera = nauseating.

Killzone PSP = really great.

Killzone 2/3 on PS3 could be really good considering how Guerrilla has warped and changed as a development team over the years, but I would NOT want to put it against Halo...that's the last thing Sony should be doing. If the game is good, it will stand up to Halo on its own.

If more fps' were like Chronicles of Riddick and Half Life, I'd play that genre more often. Bioshock ftw.

Halo is too multiplayer-centric to have RPG elements.  It's definitely a lot funner then most other FPS's though.

It overall doesn't have any weak spots, compared to Killzones technical difficulties and overall average-to-everybody-that-played-it campaign.

Plus there is no way Killzone's multiplayer will be as good.

The only reason I have any hope for this project is that I really loved their last Killzone game (and most of the media liked it as well, except for shitty, "We're cool," ZD reviewers) and the studio is now part of SCWEE. Otherwise, yeah, kind of hoping against hope.

We'll see. I think the franchise has a ton of potential.

I think that the project has potential and granted that their games have gotten better, I still see some of the same problems.  They had a lot of the same technical problems in KZ that they had in Nam.  Hopefully with new hardware, that can be cleared up.  But seeing as how they're setting the bar higher than anything we have seen on a console yet, I doubt it. 

I do have hopes for it though.  It has a lot of potential if they can pull it off.

Liberation does kick ass though.

Even if it doesn't look great the SDF will parade it as the best thing ever, and people will be banned for saying it doesn't look great. Just watch.

And Jinx and the others who keep saying "Sony never said it would be a Halo killer" are missing the fucking point, by a mile. If they don't believe Sony was looking for something to combat Halo they're mistaken. Even now the rumor is that the game will be released before the Halo beta. They are competition, period. No one cared about Resistance, but you better believe lots of money will be pumped into this. If Luke is correct Sony could have greenlighted the showing of this game months ago. Instead they're waiting for the time when even more Halo 3 coverage comes out and the subpar, unfinished graphics are showcased again to the world. At that point Sony will whip out the Killzone demo, which might look much better than Halo 3 graphically at which point the hype train will be revived.

It's a nice plan, and it wouldn't have worked if MS didn't fall into the trap AGAIN by showing an unfinished, un-impressive version of Halo AGAIN for all to see. The entire EGM story was a loss as far as I'm concerned.

I love how the people on GAF bash MS for showing unfinished products and praise Sony for showing a shitload of bullshots.  I like the fact that with MOST stuff MS is honest and shows real gameplay even if it is a work in progress.  Too bad MS is getting worse and started showing CG trailers for most of their shit now.  But that's what grabs attention I guess. 

Oh and MS still doesn't win when they decide to show CG, then all the sfags start parading around saying "Where are the real shots!?  This is CG!  They fooled everyone!"  Just like that Halo 3 commercial.  It wasn't shot from a gameplay perspect, a la Killzone and Bungie made it very clear that it was CG!!!  BUT SFAGS STILL GAVE MS SHIT ABOUT IT!!!!
