What was so bad about fortified concept. I kept seeing his name referenced negatively, but never saw any of his posts.

And yet he was even more of a fanatic about Sony game consoles.  He was the dumbest person on PoliGAF by far.  It's such a shame that discourse on GAF these days closely resembles the f_c style of debate.

Aside:  my favourite xabre moment was in an argument over Hiroshima and the only article he cited to counter my position was written by a neo-Nazi holocaust denier.  That was fun times.

I wish I still had my GAF account, otherwise, I would link to his farewell thread, where he hoped that we all learned all of these amazing insights from him.  He was little better than fortified_concept but he was extremely smug and pompous, in spite of little justification for being that way.

Oh, I have no idea when I'm heading to Japan, just that I'm definitely getting there sooner rather than later.  For now, Europe is the focus.  But we'll hang out when I get there, for sure. 

And I know, right?  I'm 2 and a half weeks into my trip now and haven't made anything happen, despite a fair share of women pretty obviously being into me.  Things just haven't really lined up yet, and being sick for the past week is really not helping matters.  Not sweating it, not gonna try to force the issue, and Spain is sort of a problem anyway since no one speaks Ingles. Not at all.  If anything, you getting booted from gaf was just a political necessity so that we could move into the Post-Borys PC-Console Relations Era, haha, no joke.  The well was kind of poisoned until that point; you had become a proxy for the whole gaf PC gaming community, and you were too aggressive toward the console kids for that to be sustainable.  That's all it was.

Yeah, the overall gaf response was touching.  It's kind of strange though, Ami said he was going to post a thank you video but never did.  And never followed up with any updates at all as soon as the cash flow stopped.  Would have been appropriate to do something like that so that all the people who put money in could see where it was going and hear about how his mom was doing with the at-home treatments and everything, but I'm sure he's dealing with a lot right now, so whatever.
