tobaku haouden zero is written by the same author of kaiji and it's basicaly kaiji only with a less naive protagonist,i don't even know why the author bothered to write it,it's so similiar i really don't have anything to say about it other than the gamble are pretty creative and use some pretty fucked up logic

Saw episode 6 up to rent. I was waiting for it to end before continuing it, and I believe it was only 6 episodes. Searched Amazon Instant and a few other places and it's not showing up. Did they stop making the blu-rays?

I don't know that I'd say it's as good as SAC, but it's probably at least the best serious scifi anime since SAC. Which is more than enough reason to watch it if you're someone who likes that kind of thing.

The Blu-ray comes out on March 22nd. Right now the only place that is selling the NA version is The Right Stuf (www.rightstuf.com). The digital download is also available on the Xbox Video Marketplace or whatever it is called.

Also, it's now 7 episodes. They announced that last year. Unfortunately, episode 7 doesn't come out until Spring 2014.

Just finished this K thing. Man that was terrible. It got almost ok, but Jesus did this show try so hard to be "cool", but in the end I pretty much hated everything about it. And you know for a show about rival gangs with powers, there sure was little action. I think I'll stick with X for my one lettered psychic teen anime.

currently addicted to kazuo umezu books. Finishing up the excellent Cat Eyed Boy (which should be a must read for monster fans, he pushes the grotesque in great ways. it almost reminds me of basil wolverton). just read Scary Book vol 2 which was a psychological horror book about a woman who is terrified of butterflies. it was not great because you could tell it was written serially the way it keeps going over plot points, but it was fairly entertaining.

I've been watching Soul Eater. I'm in the middle of season 2 and the kishin was just freed. I'm enjoying the quirky/weird characters. Kid's with his OCD, Crono who can't deal with anything, Blackstar's boasting... its all good fun. Too bad Maka and Soul are the main duo and happen to be the most boring characters. Fights are pretty boring too. I wish there was more action but I'll stick with it till the end

Psycho Pass just ended. 22 is the last episode. Was not too thrilled with the way everything played out and ended over the last few episodes. The big reveal happened like six episodes back, and nothing really happened after that. Things really dragged on the last few weeks. Pretty "meh" way to end it.

Nichijou is a good show. That's one of the better scenes, but it's all pretty much like that. Not really any "moe", just non-stop crazy stuff that barely makes any sense. There is a robot meido, tho, if that offends you.
