Endless Space 2 is coming out of Early Access next month, so probably they're just drumming up some quick and easy promotion.

Q: Okay… So, what do I get?
A: A fine dating simulator with the possibility of getting a real massage from your gamepad controller!

Q: Can I play this game without a controller?
A: Yes, but you will feel alone.

Q: What's up with the massage and the controller?
A: We programmed various vibration patterns… depending on the date´s personality.

A critical look at Valve's place in the industry.

I came here to post that. It's harsh, but not inaccurate. I wish they'd kept some of the emotional hyperbole out of the prose, as it doesn't bolster its position as a professional assessment.

Black Desert Online is now on steam and selling for $6. It's a quality sandbox MMO with a ton if interlocked and intergrated systems. It looks beautiful if you're rig can run it, but it does have a lot of drawn in to compensate.

I knew lots of people who were playing that a while ago and then there was the kerfuffle about them selling dlc content when they said they never would and everyone hated them and then they stopped doing that? Think that was Payday 2.

Yeah Payday 2 was cool for a bit but they went too overboard with the DLC plus made some bad balance calls.

To give you an idea of how dlc crazy they got, I own about half of the paid dlc that was out and to celebrate this free give away/upcoming ultimate edition, they had all dlc on sale for 85% off for like the last two weeks. I had a cart with all the dlc i didn't own, and even though they all ranged from 50/70 cents to at most a buck and some change my total still came out to something like 16 dollars  :lol

I know at least a handful of key staffers dipped too after the first year or two to start their own dev studio. They used to have one of the writers from Bad Company 2 and one of the designers responsible for BF3/BC2 gunplay.

Biggest problem with the game for me was stealth runs just aren't as fun as the stand offs but they're way more profitable and then they decreased how much money you made...and heists cost to launch.

The 100+ hours i put into it with goons were great tho, no regrats

It's solid. Early alphas were awful, everyone hated but CliffyB and company actually listened to ppl and it's in a much better space now. A lot of the hardcore streamer dudes I follow turned around on it too. Should be a healthy community.

Not really, unfortunately. Although you can find the vast majority of them by searching the "Anime" and "JRPG" tags on Steam:

We’re talking about 1.3M PC gamers that could fall into definition of “core gamer that buys several games per year”. And that’s including discounted games as well.

Of course we could extend it to, I don’t know, “softcore gamers” — the 20% that own 88% games. To be included you’d have to own 4 (FOUR) games or more on Steam — not exactly a huge number, right?

Buy them from the Steam market or trade with other users. I have some spare ones you can have, they're not really that cool though.

The official way to get backgrounds is by obtaining all the cards in a particular game and then crafting a badge [doing this nets you an emoticon and a background]. But you can just go on the marketplace and buy whichever ones you want, although I'm not sure if you need to own the game or not.

I messed around a bit on Steam and got The Bore group page set up as a Steam curator, so anyone who is a group officer can add games to the list to lest everyone else know what's hot:

You don't have to own the game, anyone is free to buy anything, fortunately.

I got shittons of emoticons and backgrounds when grind-leveling during the 2014 holiday sales. lol
But I gave away most of it. Aside from the stuff I'm already using, feel free to send me empty trade offers for anything of interest: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Ayumi/inventory/

There are artwork groups and stuff if you wanna get super serious about it though.
