It's not really affecting anything on the forum as a whole, though. Just a couple of threads with a small number of people taking part. The most interesting thing about it is that they still haven't locked the thread with the title "ResetEra Moderation Staff is Fucking Up Beyond Belief on LGBT+ Issues" or banned many people. You just know they'd do this if it were about anything else.

Why don't they all just stop posting in protest or go start up another forum?

They go start a new forum, that takes time away from being able to post just how tired they are. This route is much more slacktivist for them.
