It depends on what region they key came from. Most of the keys that have been released so far are from Europe, so you'd need to activate and download it from a European account. However, you can install it and play from your North American account. Viz hooked me up with a key from Spain, so I just downloaded it from my UK account, but I'm playing it from Distantmantra (my NA account).

I've already promised Groo a key if I get one through the Gamespot giveaway.

THE GO TEAM MUSIC IS STILL IN IT!!! WOOOO!!!!

I have to go to a party tonight.... I want to stay home and play this some more. :-(

I added you.

And if I manage to get a beta code off a friend I would give it out here.  My friend said he has some codes to give out and hopefully I can grab some.  I think the only one he assured with a Resistance 2 beta code, but honestly I would rather have a KZ2 one.

That level was one of the first ones made.

Also, Halo 3 level:

Really shitty level, but still kind of cool.

There are quit a few shitty levels like that where someone just pastes pictures onto objects and calls it a level.  btw, that music was added later.  So far there is no way to add your own music.

Are there any videos of the best levels out there? What I've seen so far regarding platforming in a few videos is fairly disappointing.

Yeah, that really sucks they won't let you add your own music. But I guess it makes sense b/c it'd turn into a massive digital rights issue if you could.

The problem is people design the levels around prebuild platforming levels, and while they are still interesting to play in, it is the wrong way to make an interesting level in the game.  Even the early tutorial single player levels show that the game is most interesting when the platforming is mixed together with puzzle and manipulating the environment using the physics.  Although the Heist levels are quite good.

I am glad that there are tracks that you can tweak to make different types of music outside of the licensed tracks.  It is a shame to see that no one is trying to mess with the one tweakable song currently in the beta for their levels.  That one song can already produce several different moods of music just by turning down one part and turning up the other.  For instance, you can make a really nice 'lost woods' like creepy theme by turning everything down except the second ambient track.

oh I forgot to mention one of the clever levels I tried today
this random dude I joined showed me his work and Im really impressed, it was like a series of rooms where this monster thing quizzes you about little big planet and you have two switches on the ground to pull signifiying yes or no (labeled green for yes and red for no)

if you get them right you move on and if you choose wrong the floor falls out and you burn to death, pretty cool idea imo

Do you remember what the level was called?

And if anyone in the beta they should check out Little Big Pinball (I think that was the name).  It is pretty much a giant pinball course with you being the ball; you need to bounce off the flippers and grab things to collect points and avoid falling to the score board below.

the controls look floaty (which I'm not knocking), so that'll be the first thing people need to keep in mind when designing levels for this, especially if they're wanting to do old school platformer knockoffs

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool.  There was another Sasuke/Ninja Warrior stage before that was also impressive.

This game went from 'wtf fuckoff platformer shit' to 'holy fuck I WANT THIS'. They need to market the fuck out of this, because to regular gamers (me), it looks like some random cutesy platformer. I had no idea you can make your own levels.

Yeah, the only thing I'm not too crazy about is it has those floaty style controls, similar to N+. But that's the style of the game and shouldn't really hurt things. It'd be cool if you could tweak the physics a bit, perhaps make stuff less floaty, but I doubt the level editor has that much functionality.

I registered at IGN and Gametrailers, both were confirmed to have giveaways by Sony, according to the PlayStation Blog.  1up is also giving away some beta keys and I was previously registered there.

If I get lucky and get any extra keys I will give them out here on EB.  I just hope I could get one key, though.

I urge other EB'ers to get in on this action as well, that way if we get extra keys we can hook up our board members.
