Indiana takes a bunch of shots from 5 ft or less which should be considered good shots

Higher accuracy and better chance of putbacks

End of first Half. 4 point Pacer lead. Feels like a double digit pacers lead.

Pace is incredibly slow. Just the way the Pacers want it. Almost no fast breaks points or opportunities for Miami. Almost no easy points for Miami. Only 6 assists for the entire team.

Wade 1-6. 5 points.

Miami looks utterly befuddled. They are trying to play big with Anderson playing a lot of minutes but they are not use to it offensively and the offense was dragging anyway. What they ran so effectively for most of the season simply doesn't work against indy.

Lebron's passes to the 3pt line have been too predictable for the shooters to get good enough looks

I think the Heat will have better success if Lebron drives and dishes to a trailing, reliable finisher like Birdman or Wade

There isn't enough movement on offense. Lebron has made so really bad passes also. Miami looks incredibly predictable right now. When they were at their best this year people were cutting and moving and the ball was being whipped around quickly. Obviously a lot of credit has to go to Indy. They are not allowing that. They are making Miami look like the old Miami where Lebron sat with the ball for a long time and the offense looked frozen.

I still say the huge problem on offense is Wade. You can't win with him not being a factor. He can be a lesser factor than Lebron but he can't be a non-factor like he's been for this series.

Good run for Miami there. I wasn't expecting Haslem to drive on that play and be effective.

Yeah Lebron has been having too many possessions when he dribbles for too long

This allows all 5 defenders to key in and collapse at the right time

The Heat needs more possessions with someone else starting the play so that Lebron has a better chance of finishing at the rim or getting a clean look

Miami finishes with 19 assists. Had 6 in the first half. They only got outrebounded by 1 33 to 32 and they ended up tying on offensive rebounds with 6. Actually outscored Indy with points in the paint 34 to 32. Great second half.

Total fouls called tonight: 30 and free throws: 27

Kinda surprising Miami won so easily tonight

The more physical team usually benefits from a game not being called as tight

Seems the Kings are hiring Mike Malone as their new head coach. I had heard Renadive really wanted him, but I thought they'd hire the GM first.

Reported GM candidates are Wallace from Memphis or Mike Dunleavy. =/

Former NBA star and Hawks player Mookie Blaylock was one of two people critically injured Friday afternoon in a head-on collision in Clayton County, according to police.

Blaylock, 46, was driving a Cadillac Escalade northbound on Tara Boulevard when for unknown reasons, he crossed over the median and into a southbound lane, Jonesboro police Chief Franklin Allen told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Blaylock’s vehicle struck another vehicle head-on, injuring two people, whose names were not released, and himself, Franklin said.

All three were transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where Blaylock was flown and was on life support and unresponsive, Franklin said. A female passenger in the second vehicle was bleeding internally, he said.

Yep. Flopping has always been around. And the current money fines are toothless as pointed out. Fining millionaires 5,000 dollars is both hilarious and pointless. It's mainly an attempt to publicly shame them to not do it but winning is all that matters. Players at that level don't care about something like that.

The euro leagues make flopping a 2 shot foul and the ball. It makes a lot more sense if you are serious about something to have in game penalties for the actions versus some post game thing because players in the heat of the moment will always do whatever it takes to win. The problem of course is that it would lead to more reviews and slowing down the game and its another judgment call in the heat of the moment. Refs barely get the things they get right currently. Adding another thing to their purview would only make things worse unless they put another ref out on the court and the league is too cheap to do that even now when an extra ref would be highly helpful.

It's such a "see, I told you so" moment for his critics lol, and while their narratives will be stupid I can't even defend him. Nor do I want to. Most NBA stars seem quite upset when they don't get certain calls, but sometimes LeBron seems extra emotional over shit like this. Whether it's a hard screen or an offensive foul. Jesus dude, grow a pair.

More importantly, composure. Your team is down with 4 minutes to go, ain't nobody got time for that shit bro

Another one of those little interesting Miami Heat forks in the road in a few hours. On one hand I fully expect them to win tonight. Home. Nobody suspended. Miami being more talented. But a loss would be really interesting because it would entail major changes for next season.

There definitely seems to be a schism on this team. Wade seems to be in his own little reality at this point. His comments after the last game were laughable to me. He's been terrible. And his argument for why's he been terrible is that he isn't getting the ball enough.

:mindblown

In the last three games Wade has averaged 12 points. Had 8 turnovers. 11 of 34 shooting field goals. 32%. I won't even go into Bosh. Amazingly he's been even worse.

He does need to get the ball more. And he needs to be effective with it. That's why he hasn't been getting the ball. His chicken and the egg argument is nuts. The more effective he is the more touches he will get.

Either way even if they win, They've shown some potentially fatal flaws to Popovich. Should be fun in a few hours.

And either way they should get rid of Bosh next year for somebody who fits in their system better. They should have amnestied Miller or Anthony this season anyway to upgrade the frontcourt.

Yeah, Wade is clearly not right and it's killing them.  Some of the coverage is trying to turn this into a morality play (Selfish Cleveland LeBron vs. Trusting Teammates LeBron) which is just goofy.

But who could they conceivably get who would help them more than Bosh, especially considering Spoelstra's arranged the offense around having LBJ and four guys who can shoot on the floor?

My problem with Bosh is that he is a luxury piece with the Heat. He's isn't what they need. He's just a nice thing to have on a team that already has two superstars. His value is ostensibly to drag the other team's center or power forward out of the paint to create driving lanes. I'm not saying that doesn't have any value. I just think there are people in the league who could give alternate value to the heat that is just as valuable and better suited to battle other big men.

We all know what Miami's weakness is. It's always been the same weakness. I would rather they try to address that area than continue to double down on the current model.

How about somebody that can actually shoot?

Bosh was essentially the best shooter on long 2's in the entire league this year, and was shooting over .500 for the regular season and both the Bucks and Bulls series.  So what we really mean is someone who's guaranteed to never go cold during an important stretch, so...  I dunno, Dirk?

Look, you can say Miami's had the same flaw, but for the two seasons prior to this the most frequently cited problem was the team's predictable and sometimes stagnant offense.

That wasn't an issue this year, as they implemented a new scheme with LeBron operating out of the post a lot more.  Bosh has been a huge part of that, both in his willingness to accept a different role and in his elite skillset as a stretch 4.  Not to mention the comfort level that has to come with being in his third year with LeBron/Wade/Spo.  If what Bosh does was easy, you'd see a lot more players doing it, when fairly few even come close.

Derek Fisher.

That sounds good, until Fish wants to leave and starts publicly caring about his kids health again.

I never liked Bosh with the team. He wasn't the biggest problem but he's never been my favorite piece. If they win tonight or if they keep him going forward then that's fine too. They are certainly a very good team with him who will beat 97% of the league and who will always struggle with the Bull, Indy. Teams like that.

I also think if they fail this season or in this game, Bosh is always going to be the most criticized piece and that criticism will reach a new height. Whether Riley thinks that's true or not and valid or does anything about it will be interesting. But if they fail tonight against the Pacers, I'd put myself on the side of them looking at another option however that comes about. Things will probably get broken up after next season anyway depending on what Lebron does.

LeBron may have scored 36 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and had 12 assists in tonight's devastating Game 7 loss, but it doesn't tell us much about his impact on the game or his legacy. For that we must look back to Game 6, when James sprinted from one side of the court to the other in one of the most craven displays in recent sports memory. The question is not where was he running, but what was he running from. The Miami Heat may have been run out of the playoffs tonight, but LeBron ran away from greatness on Saturday night. It is said that Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk. But neither could have ever dreamed that LeBron James would run in Game 6 of the 2013 Eastern Conference Finals, when his team needed him the most.
