My wife has a question I can't answer -- why does everyone hate Alien: Resurrection?

Disallowed answers:
 -- Wynona Ryder sucks (duh, but her role is relatively minor)
 -- Joss Whedon sucks and he also hates it
 -- lolz I wanted Aliens 2: Starship Troopers Giger Edition
 -- Willco made out with a man in the theatre while it was showing

I've only seen it once, when it came out in theaters and I thought it was decent.  I was really young though.

iirc joss hates it because everything he did for it was butchered to hell.

I like the movie well enough. I like it better than 3, thats for goddamned sure. I mean for one there's women in the movie. I dont wanna see sweaty bald men in prison being chased around but an alien that I can fucking BET has better hygine.

Alien Vs Predator was cool though!  I remember seeing ressurection and thinking it was cool, but I forgot what happened in the movie.. ;(
