CG TITS OMG, they might as well have just slapped Krato's CG COCK in there too. Game is a turd also. 1st boss took 10 minutes to kill yet was not challenging in the slightest... does it get better?

I gave up after the 4th level or so... I just got sick of playing PaRappa for the 40th time in a row.

If you don't like it so far, no, it doesn't really get much better. The earned abilities that you eventually get don't add a lot of variety to the basic hack/slash combinations that you began with. If you don't dig the setting, the story, the violence or the tits, there's little else to get behind.

I dig the gore, but the combat is fairly zzzzz, and whats with the faggy balance beam sections? hes a GOD OF WAR but he has to get all girly by tipitoeing along narrow beams WTF. I guess the last action game I played was the best one ever created so everything else will pale in comparison. DMC3 :bow

gow 2 is exactly the same shit. i think it's entertaining shit with really high production values, but i can only look on in perplexity when people who ought to know better praise its design genius and even its writing

It's about the same with a few weapon additions that have fairly simple functions, for the most part. I can't think of anything drastically different. It still plays half mashy.
GoW2 only delivers in one area over GoW1: boss battles. Now if they only had health gauges so I could tell when I'm actually hurting the fuckers.

the writing is pretty cringe worthy, even the save points: ZEUS HAS OFFERED YOU THE CHANCE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS I mean I want to laugh at that but Im not sure how serious the game takes itself yet, so it could just be scary

I dunno. I'm sorta mixed. The game has nice ideas, but most of it is completely ruined by the easy difficulty. Also, the objectives you do aren't that interesting at all. Help a girl get into the movie theatre first by beating up whoever is in line? Fucking lame.
Also, the plot reeks of ridiculous. I'M GOING TO TAKE OVER THIS SCHOOL. What would have been a game that had enormous potential, became a huge stinker.
Only get it for cheap.
Oh yeah and the combat sucks. Play The Warriors instead.

DMC3 and God of War came out the same month back in 2005. Imagine my distaste with GoW THEN. DMC3 owned that game.

yeah I got Bully and God of War in a 2 games for cheap bargain bin. Ive played The Warriors, didnt quite finish it though. Now thats an awesome game. The movie is great too!

Scenester: Bully is essentially a stripped down version of The Warriors with horrible GTA influences, and flawed design. You may enjoy it if you aren't expecting much.

Also, I thought GoW rocked. Sure, the combat is simple, but it's a fairly short game and barely ever lets up. I didn't pay for it, though. I need to play the second.
