Title: Happy Birthday to me! My folks got me a HDTV for my birthday!
Post by: The Fake Shemp on January 11, 2008, 01:06:14 PM: It's just a 26" Sharp LCD, but it's better than what I had before (nothing!). I thought initially I was getting a Maxent, which had decent reviews, but I've always loved the way Sharp LCDs have looked in stores - comparable to Samsung color quality.

If youre 20 inch is using component its an EDTV not an SDTV. If its the red white yellow thats composite

480p is for the wii and i try not to affiliate wii with next-gen or HD

Post by: cubicle47b on January 11, 2008, 01:22:50 PM: I don't remember ever seeing a 20" EDTV which you'd need to support 480p. 480i is the highest resolution you get on a SDTV. Component cables are just a connection method.

Compared with a fuck-ugly 36-inch Trinitron SDTV with fucked-up colors and blurriness that makes the text in the 360 dash IMPOSSIBLE to read?

I might get an antenna eventually for OTA or something. I have been reading recently - but mostly scripts. When I get my HDTV and living room setup, I plan to use my Zune + Xbox to play music so I can relax and read.
