Post by: TVC15 on April 03, 2008, 11:47:03 PM: I enjoyed the first Hellboy a whole ton as a fun action movie, and I expected the same of this, but that trailer got me SO HYPED for this. Great visuals in there, and I like the Pans-y look of some of the monsters. I hope they fit some awesome Lovecraft references in there!

:bow del Toro. If anyone can make a decent LOTR-related movie, it might be him.

New trailer is pretty wicked. Really looks like Del Toro has nailed a consistent look for the film. I really, really like the original a whole bunch, but my major peeve is that some sequences look and feel like Del Toro rubbed one off on celluoid (the Wolfenstein bit in the beginning, all the stuff in Moscow, etc.) and the rest the vision was limited due to financial constraints (or producers!).
