Any games I'm missing
that aren't also going to make me want to hurl from the ugly?
component cable is a must unless you are playing on SD TV
Turn off WiiConnect24 so it doesn't bake itself.
Graphics is obviously not a priority for anyone buying a WII. What I don't get is how some people bash the WII's graphics while still playing PS2 games every week.
Every game I've played has looked sort of terrible on my LCD, except this Mario game. Holy crap that looks good. Of course, this boss fight is just bloody awesome.
even hacked, the console is not worth it.
Paper Mario looks pretty decent on a plasma/LCD because of its artistic style.
Zelda doesn't look too bad either.
RE4 is good too if you haven't played it yet.
Don't buy Super Paper Mario or No More Heroes. Both are garbage.
Sign up for Gamefly- So many games are worth just a rental it's not evenf unny. Also, get some lightgun shells (PERFECT SHOT! punch punch punch) because the one thing the Wii does freakishly well is lightgun games. Rent Resident Evil:Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad. <3

they will only make you cry because they're severely downgraded from the original arcade boxes, and would play 100x better with a Guncon 3
I don't even know what's a guncon but just from Mondain's usual BS, it has to be a PS3 device.
Well, Metroid Prime Corruption licks ass.
Wait... didn't you buy a Wii 3 days ago? And already beaten MP3?
I *SO WISH* MP3 have been released on GC as well. If Zelda: TP was why wasn't MP3?
Stupid Nintendo.

Character designs (Non enemies, Non Samus) are shit. But thats their art directors fault if anything. The first space station probably tries to be too much halo
My Wii is my Mario playing machine. Also, Blades of Steel.
I never could get into the Metroid games. I tried MP1 when it first came out, but the whole thing seemed like a chore to me; it never felt fun. I didn't even give the other two the time of day, which from the looks of things was the way to go for me.
I found out Friday that Mario Kart was out. I had no idea. I was always a sucker for those games, but I guess the wheel is a failure and...I just really don't care about Mario Kart anymore.
But Blades of Steel is pretty great.
MP3 is aimed squarely at people like you, you should try it.
I just one of those Blu Ray players that plays Playstation games. I'm tapped out.

scratched off some crap. i was about to add wario ware to that, but the novelty wears off FAST.
oh and : Mario Party is dung , absolute dung.

Yeah, Guncons have been Sony-exclusive peripherals so far.

Going to have to go back and play it.
I'm around the five-hour mark, and couldn't get what everyone was raving about. In five hours of gameplay, I felt Phantom Hourglass blew Twilight Princess out of the water.
But if it does start opening up, then I guess I owe it to myself to finish the game. Bought the damn thing with the Wii ages ago, and it's one of the few games I have yet to finish...
I dunno, most Zelda games have terribly slow starting areas. I would have thought most people are prepared for it by now. I struggle to hate on TP's start too much though because meeting Midna is pants-wettingly awesome.

I've played pretty much all Zeldas and TP had by far the best beginning, I don't get the hate. They introduce you to stuff you'll need later, at the same time establishing the kid characters and an incentive to get into the first dungeon. Beats getting a sword + shield and getting summoned immediately
Wow, Zelda is all sorts of wonderful now. Still, TWWs forest temple shits all over this version.Oh yeah: this Zelda has the best Dungeon Music in the entire series.
Did you beat the Forest Temple, AA? Where are you know in TP. Post something here goddamnit.
Aren't you the guy who chose Ratchet: ToD as his goty? Absolutely no rehashing going on there :p
Wow, Nintendo really needs to reboot this franchise. This is the same game I've played three or four times already. >:(
This is the rehash to end all rehashes. I mean every single locale from generic Zelda universe is here and every single Link's Equipment Item.
I think you should just to stop playing it and sell it already. It's obvious it isn't your cup of tea :(
Zelda games are so fucking bad
No More Heroes is much better
Oh, and STAR SOLDIER R is now on WiiWare. Best new downloadable title of the generation!
Is there only one WiiWare game a week? Snore. It is going to be a while before something worth downloading is released. No, there's also Critter Roundup for 1000 points. :-\

Oh, I'm liking it, I'm just not loving it like, say, the original. I have higher expectations of Nintendo titles, but this feels pretty anonymous.
TP is pretty much OoT2. Don't expect any amazing, new things from it. The only new gimmick is the wolf thing and they fucked it.
I was just:
- longing for a new Zelda game
- smh from disgust at Wind Waker "dungeons" (pathetic)
And TP hit the spot in both of the above.
For me it is pretty much the best Zelda ever, even though I know and I admit that Wind Waker looked 10 times better.
I don't know why I decided to attempt to play Red Steel again, but I still am in awe of how terrible this game actually is.
You're only hurting yourself every time you play that game.
I still can't believe that Ubisoft dumped nearly $15 million into that mess.
Baloney! Wind Waker's first three dungeons (not counting that awful stealth dungeon) are better designed than any of Twilight Princess's dungeons. Admittedly, the tag-team dungeons' novelty wore off quickly (and became tiresome), so I will give the nod to Arbiter's Grounds, the Temple of Time, and the Sky Temple over them. But Jesus Christ the first three dungeons in TP were GOD AWFUL, especially the water temple.

I actually think Ocarina of Time probably has the one of the slowest starts of any Zelda game. First time around it was probably OK, but when I've played the game again it's pretty damn boring until you get to Hyrule Field.
Ocarina of Time > Wind Waker > Twilight Princess > Majora's Mask.

Though to be honest, I find myself switching WW and TP depending on my mood.
What? There's nothing in OoT that's as boring or time consuming as TP's tear fetch quests.
Blondes drive me crazy.
It doesn't help that only a few of those few are actually good.

Yep. To its credit though, the one genuinely great game it has is really great. But that one ended. :(
Wii has games
Buy a 360, or a hex based strategy game on the pc to celebrate.
Dude, you wait this long and then sell it just before the one good Wii game for the rest of the year comes out? Zany!
:bow Fatal Frame 4 :bow2
Wii still has better games than PS3, which has MGS, Ratchet and Clank, a couple second-tier FPSes, a couple of good downloadable games, and multiplatform games that pale in comparison to the 360.

I think it's fair to say both the PS3 and Wii are pretty laughable in terms of library. Which one is more laughable comes down to taste somewhat.
I'm hardly going to bored with the totally insane amount of 360 titles coming until Christmas, but it'd be nice to have something to play on the Wii. I might get Wario but I can't shake the feeling it should be Wiiware.
I'll never understand why people buy consoles, and then sell them in no time at all. It's especially annoying with those certain people that buy the same console later on.
At least you got all your money back and some extra, but seriously what the hell.
Meh, maybe it’s just me, but when I buy a console, I see that as an investment. Even if there may not be too many great games, a few of them will come down the line, and I also like to go back and play the same games later on. You were fortunate that you got your money back, and that’s something that I would do as well since that at least meant I could buy it at a cheaper price later, but from the way you sounded, it seemed like you wouldn’t have mind selling at a loss.
Do they still rent consoles? I would think that would be a better way of dealing with the Wii. Rent it once a year when there is that one fun game, play it, then take it back.
Which consoles and handhelds do you own now, ducky?

No one even knows what's 'on the horizon'.
No one even knows what's 'on the horizon'.
I know quite a bit about what's coming up in the next year for the other systems. Nintendo, on the other hand, has shown nothing of interest. And again, if the next worthwhile game comes after the system reaches a lower price point, why in the hell would I hold on to the thing, especially when I'm not taking a loss on selling it? It's not like it has some secondary or tertiary media function to keep it going between waves of games.
i hate videogames AND the wii*checks post history*
