Title: I am about to make a large online purchase with a credit card
Post by: recursivelyenumerable on August 19, 2008, 10:16:26 PM: I've never done this before (or used a credit card at all), and I'm sure I'll fuck it up somehow. Anyone have any tips for life in debtors' prison?

I just blew $1000 of money I don't have on registration fees for a dumb conference on programming languages, all for the sake of feeding my sick need to adopt a ludicrous academic smarty man pose that fools no one but myself. Oh well, at least I'll get to see Canada before the effect of Too Human's failure really kicks in.

Call your CC company, they'll be happy to check your charges for you.
