I read on gaf that someone will be converting it to be watched on PS3 (mp4) for sub group Conclave. I think its Kagari that's doing it too.

The zombie Exia was so badass.  And the last shot of Hal/Al all tied up was great.

Oh, and in the op/ed you see Graham has two pieces to his mask, so basically when he is in combat it is the Char mask instead of a samurai mask.

They did a "patch" version so maybe it will fix that.

i never tried it, but i saw it up and they claimed to fix some errors. I guess the errors were just translation related.

Finally watched ep 2.

Setsuna is such a PIMP now. Holy fuck. I'm scared what will happen when he sees that queen of that country. He will probably impregnate her upon *SIGHT*

And Sumeragi was keeping that secret from Billy for YEARS and Setsuna just walks in his place, CALLS HER OUT with no remorse, and now he's fallen into a deep alcoholic stupor. THAT'S ICE COLD, BABY.

I'm indifferent about Lockon's replacement. I mean, the guy has the same code name, same voice, similar character design (if not the same), everything. And they act like Lockon's dead, but all of this just lessens the impact. It's like Lockon's dead...BUT HE REALLY ISN'T and it just feels forced despite how much the show wants the sell it.

00 Gundam is SEX. TWIN DRIVES!!! :bow And when he cut that fucker up after he says he'll best Setsuna in melee? omfg.

I was going to wait for the Conclave-Mendoi subs since I watched them for Season 1, but screw it, they're taking too long. I'm getting the gg/BSS subs. I know gg's subs for Macross Frontier always came out really fast and were pretty solid.

My copy of the PS2 Gundam 00 game shipped today. I ordered early enough, so I'm getting the bonus TransAm DVD, which apparently has a bonus episode that's a prequel to season two.

Edit: Oh yeah, I watched episode two last night, good stuff.

It got 6/6/6/6 from Famitsu, so I'm guessing it's not good. However, Yuke's developed the title, and I loved their Votoms PS2 game from last year which was reviewed similarly.

Initial impressions of the game: It's better than the DS game, but I'd wait until you can find a used copy on ebay. I ran through the tutorial and the first mission with Exia. Controls a lot like Never Ending Tomorrow.

The Trans-Am DVD preorder bonus is pretty much trash. It has a nine-minute season one recap, a 2nd season commercial (that's been YouTube'd to death). It's not totally trash because it has Japanese TV commercials for 00 models, Gundam Battle Universe, Operation Troy and the Blu-ray release of 00. I LOVE Japanese TV commercials.

I never played Never Ending Tomorrow because I hated SEED, but watching a blurry video of it on youtube reminds me of ZoE with some weird QTE stuff every once in a while.  Does it have objectives to complete or is it just kind of like arena battles? I'm thinking that maybe Exia in Gundam vs Gundam PSP might be enough for me until they make a complete 00 game with S2 stuff in it.

It is a shame about the DVD.  Even that shitty Gurren Lagann game had the extra episode with it.

It has objectives to complete along with "arena battles," it pretty much follows the storyline of the show. The game has original animation that apparently follows the path of an original episode.

I'd hold off until you can get a used copy on ebay for like $40 or something. Shouldn't be too long.

EDIT: And unless a certain someone here would like to correct me, I don't think Namco-Bandai will bother releasing this here in North America, seeing how it's a PS2 game, and the first season won't end it's run on Sci-Fi until April or May...

In retrospect, it's pretty fucked up how they went out of their way to show Saji and Louise being so happy and carefree for like the first 20 twenty episodes. The way things are going, the last episode will just be 24 minutes of Saji getting raped by Satan.

I so glad I decided not to put effort into subbing this season with duckroll.

It's not bad, but the script's been very SEED-D like for too many eps now.  Everything is cliche anime stuff instead of the more UC-ish realism of S1.


I still hope they can pull together a great finale by the end, but I give them 50/50 chance of pulling it off.  Though the second they do a "bad guys kidnap Marina to lure out CB/Setsuna" ep that ratio drops to about 25/75.

Too bad Setsuna had to lie about Saji, but with him being revealed to her (indirectly caused by Setsuna himself  :lol) i guess it doesn't group saji in her eyes (at least not yet).

And it seems Aeolia's plan was much bigger than i thought to the point that its being executed at 2 different stages. It also sheds more light on why Wang is working for both sides since to her the world will change either way.

I would love to know the "full" plan (Wang, Tieria, Ribbons and Regenne knows) although the steps were talked about.

Holy shit this season is getting awesome early on.

Sergei still remains one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite. Everyone's starting to feel "wow I'm fucked" too. The fact that Alelujah finally got back with Mary made me crack a smile. The guy deserves it. Saji can't catch a break and every time he has bad luck I rofl

The show is amazing.

Just checked episode 9 and it was cool.

Ali's injury was just  :lol

Mr Bushido getting a new suit already? Should be interesting with it, the Arche and the Gadessa in the A-Laws line up.

This season is really showing that the Meisters are not that good skill wise with their suits (except Al/Hal combining) and the A-laws are slowly getting the hardened veterans.

CB cant be counted out though.

00 is weird because they split Char into Graham and Ali.  Graham has more of Char's spirit but in S1 Ali was always in the Char Red mech.  It's definitely an interesting aspect that Setsuna has 2 rivals.  S1 kinda blew it though and Graham was barely in the show after the mid-point until the last 5 mins.  Hopefully this season works Mr. Bushido/Ali/Ribbons into the plot with them actually having a point to being in the show.

I don't think the writers even know wtf happened at the start of that ep.  I think it's better to pretend that scene didn't exist.

I agree on the suit designs though.  I think OO S2 has the worst mecha designs of almost any Gundam I can think of.  S1 had the cool looking ZoE flags, Ali's cool looking red AEU mecha that combined into a cool red spider MA for that one ep, Exia was pretty badass once it got the 7 blades.  Dynamos with the wings closed as a shield like Deathscythe looked great.  Nadleeh was great.  Even the generic Asia mechs that Sergei and crew piloted were neat looking.

In S2 you have the OO which looks...ok.  It looks like a football player  :-\  The OO w/Orizer model looks kinda iffy too so I hope it looks better in motion.  Arios looks worse than Kyrios with it's stupid orange bodygear.  Cheredum looks like Dynamos without his cool cloak shield.  Seravee looks good, but Virtue had Nadaleeh; Servee better have a Nadleeh MK-II hidden underneath.  The GXs with the lances look distinguished mentally-challenged. 

The only good mechs in S2 so far are Mr. Bushido's custom Ahead and the standard Aheads and the damaged Exia from ep1.  The innovator mechs might be good but they need to be in the show for more than 30 seconds so I can tell.

Bushido's suit is awesome, same with both Innovator suits seen so far.  The ugliest is easily Ali's new Throne followed by Soma Peris/Louise's suit.  I'm hoping that Bushido's new suit will be just as good as the first one we've seen, but he does have a history of cool suits that get limited exposure.  I still wish there was more of his final suit from S1 that had the movable GN Drive

One weird thing so far is that as strong as the new suits are, they all seem weak compared to Corner's Gold GN with Wings suit.

The whole GN particles making everyone (naked) communicate is  :wtf, but it could make the later battles interesting (if used correctly) since the pilot's motives/thoughts can factor and Setsuna just wont be seeing a mobile suit when he kills them indiscriminately.

Well the main reason she did it was because she didn't want wang liu mei having her way, but the help for setsuna was a nice touch.

A louise/nena fight should be interesting and hopefully it emerges in the next half (since nena was the real culprit).

Yeah, I feel like Graham is such a wasted character.  For the first 7 or so eps of S1 he was awesome.  He was the cool homo ace pilot with style and grace.

Then the show pretty much forgot about him until he showed up insane for 2 mins at the end.  In S2 he started off cool again as Mr. Bushido with his one man army license, and then disappeared again and is now back and insane.  The show could still salvage him if he becomes part of the rest of the eps.  But if he has his fight and then disappears again until the end where he shows up for a final fight it will have been such a waste of a character.

The problem with Graham is that he's totally one note now - fight 00 Gundam or bust - and it really boring.  That is the extend of his character now.  They could have at least had him in the middle ground fighting both CB and A-LAWs, as cliche as that is, but it would still be more interesting.  It really doesn't help that comparatively, he's still one of the more interesting character in the series.  That just outlines the problems the show is having.  There is no substance to anything...at all, it all just happens.  You constantly feel like you're waiting for something to happen, for the series to actually begin, but it never seems to.  Just the progression of the 00 Gundam is a good idea of the problem:

"we need the Exia furnace to get the 00 Gundam to work" -> "wait, we need to now test and make sure the 00 Gundam can work" -> "wait, actually you need an attachment to make it work"

I wouldn't be surprised if there is another component to the 00 Gundam.

It does suck that hes not doing much and only wants to fight the 00 for a true battle. The fact that he is one of the most skilled pilots in this entire series makes it worse.

Whats annoying to me is that they seem to be ignoring certain events and/or characters like Hallelujah's reappearance and how the flying fuck did Sergei survive that blast.  :maf. Also this whole Celestial Being is finally fucked...oh wait something came up...gotta run, we will continue this next time.

As for another component for 00 i would say another seven swords set (they already did in the side stories)

it didn't fix the OP, 100% certain of this.

only way to fix it is to download the raw and mux BSS subs with it or just get your subs from Shinsen subs.

Real talk, i am enjoying S2 more than S1, there were moments were i raged hard (Marina singing crap) but overall i love it, mostly thanks to character development like Setsuna/Saji.

Saji went from shit character to TRUE BRO, FUCK YEAR.

but of course we have wasted potential like Wang and Regene.

problem with both seasons is that everything happens at the last episodes, it didn't matter much last season because they couldn't kill them all but here they are killing 2 or 3 characters in one episode like it's nothing.

and graham was always a weeaboo and obsessed with setsuna/gundam so his character didn't change much, the only difference is no flag :(

His new suit is basically a heavily modified flag anyways so he still haven't changed much (except for the whole "samurai" thing)

nope not yet, have to wait.

normally there's is a transcoded version of GSS's file that comes out some time after the original file but i think the early release threw them off somewhat.
