Title: I'm impressed with Song of Ice and Fire so far

The need to follow through with your favorite character will compel you to read on (I hated the early Daenerys viewpoints).

Malazan = a series of books by Steven Erickson. You won't have to wait forever to read a new one, either! Erickson doesn't sit around in pizza parlors with his thumb up his ass instead of writing books.

I remember hating Sansa's early chapters in GoT. Didn't like Catelyn initially either. Oh how things change
