Source: Leaked Dead Rising 2 trailer is the real deal
A supposed shakycam video of Dead Rising 2 has just surfaced on YouTube, and sources close to Capcom have promised us it’s the real thing.
We contacted Capcom to be told by a rep that he had personally not seen this video, but as far as Dead Rising 2 goes, nothing has “officially” been confirmed nor released at this time.

You know what would be great? To hear that Blue Castle is only handeling the PS3 and Wii version.
Oh, and a PC version of awesomeness and DX10.

So you can get the shit version? Blue Castle is a good developer dude. One of my favorite developers actually
I'd kinda prefer having Capcom develop the versions I'd actually play(Xbox 360, PC) and I don't think The Bigs was exactly the hottest game around.
The fuck, people don't like Dead Rising.

They made the The Bigs? it's the best Baseball game on the 360.

I have the 360 version, really liked it, still getting the Wii version. As absolutely horrible and embarrassing that video was, showing off how lazy this effort is and all, if you want some of the shooting videos on other pages it really does look like a RE4 hit with a butt ugly stick and thrown into a mall setting. You can even pull off the knee shot > melee combo like in RE4/5. It really is hideous, though. I know it's the Wii and all, but damn, that's ridiculous.no wonder you are saying wii is much beter in 2k9! You love kusoge more than i do!
Plus, now that I know Dead Rising 2 is coming to the 360, I'm don't have to worry about the Wii sales leading to sequels coming on the platform.

I personally wouldn't go that far but it looks quite a bit better than I had expected.

THE DEAD WALK AGAIN AS CAPCOM CONFIRMS DEAD RISINGTM 2
Sequel to 1.5 million-plus seller announced for multiple gaming platforms
London – February 9, 2009 - Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Dead Rising™ 2 is in development for three different gaming platforms: the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and the PC. The sequel to the 1.5 million-plus selling Dead Rising™, Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies, the all new gambling paradise of Fortune City to explore and conquer plus a host of new in-game objects that can all be used as deadly weapons to stave off the zombie assault.
Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.
Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s Producer will play an active role in the project.
Released in 2006, Dead Rising won praise across the globe for its mix of intense zombie action and dark humour, garnering numerous awards including IGN’s “Most Innovative Design for Xbox 360”, Gamespot’s “Best Action-Adventure Game” for 2006 and “Action Game of the Year” at the 2006 Spike TV Video Game Awards.
Further details concerning the story and gameplay of Dead Rising 2 will be made available shortly.

Very nice. Ps3/360/PC
No Frank it seems, so i guess he actually did go down fighting?
No Frank makes me sad.
No Frank makes me sad.
He'll probably be a zombie boss.
Well, another generic hack and slash, rather.
Didn't Frank become infected at the end of the first Dead Rising? I can't seem to rememeber what the hell happened after you beat the guy on the tank.i think they made a vaccine to suppress the virus. it can activate at any time though?

Other than that.... I don't really like the Casino setting. I know they can get creative and add a whole bunch of shit to attack enemies with, but being in a mall allowed the game to really diversify the weapons you could get.
Here, well, you can kill someone with a... roulette table..... or maybe a poker.... chip?
It could be varied, but no where as varied as a mall, where you could find a plastic sword to kill a zombie with and a drill, or a showerhead.
Still i'm so hyped for this. I'm glad they didn't make it open world. Fuck open world gaming.
I wonder if they'll make Frank the new Otis. :-\

Time flow in DR2: The way time was dealt with in DR belongs to the core of the game experience/mechanics according to Inafune, Blue Castle thinks so too, so they're gonna bring it back. Keeping the element was important for the sequel. Time managment here to stay.

Yesssssssssssss. I was really more worried they'd get rid of the time management than the save system. It can still be fun with a pussified save system, but not without the 72 hour concept.

Agreed. If they were only gonna keep one, it should be the time limit.

well, yeah. Even if there were multiple save slots, you could always just stick to one of them and it would be the same. If they changed the time system, you could really work around it.
I just remember people complaining about how they couldn't load up an old save and take another path or something. That's a pretty dumb complaint. The game is like 6 hours long. Play it again.
