Title: So, I'm stuck in Iraq with nothing to do...
Post by: rodi on April 08, 2009, 03:07:58 PM: ...but I recently bought this bootleg copy of Mass Effect, but there's kind of a problem. The crack that comes with it has Trojan attached to it, so obviously I want to download another crack. BUT, since this is Iraq and not my house in California I am downloading at about 2.7 KB/sec.

My question is this: Can I copy the crack from the disc onto my computer and heal the file with my AVG Free program before it infects my computer and bad joo joo happens. This may be a stupid question, but I'm kind of desperate. The kind of desperate that drives people to pay ten dollars to watch Dragon Ball Z: the live action movie.

Post by: Eric P on April 08, 2009, 03:09:58 PM: you should be able to copy it, immediately run avg to try to heal it and that should take care of it.

you'd probably want to run in safe mode without networking just in case and after you use the crack you'll want to run a full scan in safe mode to make certain it didn't latch on somehow.

On a side note, once I had a lunch with a bunch of IP's. We had seven rotisserie chicken's, some flat bread, and some knock off Pepsi. It was scrumptious.
