Title: 2012 theater trailer and clips

Interestingly enough, Knowing is essentially the same movie as 2012.

End of the world? Check.
Knowledgeable main character? Check.
Kid? Check
Wife/girlfriend/female acquaintance? Check.
Race to escape the devastation? Check.
Lots of expensive destruction scenes? Check.
Laughable dialogue/acting? Check.

Why would he do that, though? Presumably, given that its budget is four times as big as Knowing's, 2012 would have resulted in a much bigger paycheck.

It's basically Knowing, but with a MUCH bigger budget and a much dumber story...

I'm sure if they did it would still end being more or less the same as 2012/The Core/Knowing.

2012 just looks like another overly-serious, convoluted, poorly acted, poorly written, end-of-the-world borefest with a few awesome effects scenes scattered here and there. Not dissimilar from other recent movies like Knowing, The Core, The Happening [lulz], The Day After Tomorrow, The Day the Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds, and so on.

that chaos was almost, I dunno, phantasmagoric? here's a fucking rolling donut, a truck instantly exploding, a train flying around, off into an office floor now, here's a parking lot of raining cars, now we're in a plane, 20 highway flipping shots out spielberg's 'war of the worlds' ... and all the wierdly nonchalant conversation through each narrow escape :lol
