I had it down as November last time I looked. I think it's only the 2nd Wii game I'm buying in 2009 (bought Madworld)? I seriously forget I own the system during the 6-9 months between each game worth caring about.

Oh, I read "for the next coming months"
My bad. NSMB Wii is a november release, I think.
-
I just have to get something for my cousins next month - two of them have birthdays in the same month, so I'm getting them one Wii game and they can share it.

Buy them a better console.

Two words:
gift card.

Cursed Mountain is actually pretty ok. I don't have much time to play it more, though.

I havent read or seen anything about it. I am lured by the survival horror
-
what's cursed mountain? I've never heard of it before
Muramasa is solid, but I'm never going to get around to playing it.

The game jumped on my radar since its announcement. But this being a Wii game made me very cautious about it, though.
But it's pretty good if you're a survival horror fan.

Punchout? Its pretty much the only real good game to come out for the Wii this year so far.
-
I bought Oboro Muramasa and Punch-Out this year. If NSMB Wii hits Japan this year too, I'll probably get that. The Wii and DS have pretty much just been sitting and collecting dust this entire year for me. I have games I need to get back to playing, but I just end up playing PS3, PSP, and 360 stuff instead.
Ever since the N64, it seems like Nintendo systems' software releases just dry up a couple of years in. We're at that point now.
-
How old are they? What games do they have?
I'd recommend boom blox 2 or excitebots. Excitebots has two player split screen and goofy transformer antics, boom blox has alot of variety and content.
-
Nintendo probably doesn't feel they need to release much when Wii Fit and Mario Kart continue to sell hundreds of thousands of copies each month.
What we do get these days are unambitious titles that they expect to sell shitloads because of the title alone. Often times, they do.

One is a tween, the other is 9-years-old. They already have those. We got to keep current since their parents have so much disposable income, and can afford that stuff.

According to the gamefaqs list, spyborgs and the tmnt smash clone hit next month. I don't really know what kids are into these days. Spyborgs is a Capcom brawler with co-op. As stated, the tmnt game is a smash bros clone so they may enjoy it. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is also coming out but I remember the first one being bad on the Wii.

How is Muramasa?
I think it might be out today or tomorrow, was thinking about picking it up after hearing people compare it to post-SOTN Castlevania games.
-
Gamestop said it should be in today.
My wii is still mia, :/

It's not like post-SOTN games. Throw that right out. The game is very similar to Odin Sphere in structure, in that you run around an endless loop of the same few backgrounds over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. There's more variety this time, and even some *gasp* jumps here and there, but the game is largely just running in one direction, killing some enemies in encounters, getting to the end of the map/boss, then running back the other direction again, often with no enemies to fight. I don't think the game sucks, and it turns out I played the bulk of it on the easier mode (thought it was the other way around), but even the harder mode doesn't really do anything to make up for all the game's shortcomings. The two main characters also play exactly the same, and most of the swords are all clones of each other, too.
Basically, no one would give two shits about Muramasa if it didn't look as good as it does. Its visuals are what it really has going for it. The art is amazing, but underneath that you have an average game at best. I've been struggling to bring myself to finish it up.

Well, I decided to pass on it. I have Policenauts to play now and I might pick it up cheap in the future.
